Hmm, tricky one. I can see the logic there insofar as there are games where we start to blow in the closing stages but I wonder if that might be down to the size of the squad meaning our key players don't have the chance to rest. Also the style needs the whole team to be able to do the running - I'm feeling that that's becoming a lot to ask of an ageing Ricky (sad though I am to say it)

We looked decent apart from a couple of lapses from a lacklustre JWP and a pedestrian showing from Lambert. Very good from Lovren and Gaston. Could easily have taken something. Shame.

I feel your pain. My missus seems to trawl through a list of everyone she's ever met and buy presents for their kiddies. The real cost of Christmas for us though is that we are off to Cape Town for the festivities. A few quid down the Swanee but it'll be well worth it when we are enjoying the sunshine on Christmas morning, 6000 miles from the bloody inlaws.

Quite possibly the most one sided top flight win I can remember for us. Outstanding. It'll be interesting to see how we measure up against some of the big guys in the coming weeks.
