Will be interesting to see how Cortese handles the close season and the various offers that come in. Given the financial state of many clubs I would imagine it will be £x Million in our bank NOW, with maybe a sell on clause. None of this so much now, so much if we get into the champions league, so much after x international caps. Wanting ALL the money up front might make many clubs suddenly get cold feet maybe?

I think Rickie, Barnard & Connolly all fit will put the s***t into any defense in Lg1 or CCC. From recent years I always liked Pahars & Beattie. Have a soft spot for Rasiak as he was responsible for my little boys first "golden moment" watching Saints.

As ML is a construction man, he may see some attractions in investing in upgrading the stadium in one way or another. With these sorts of projects you get something solid at the end. ML & NC have already within a short period of ownership takled upgrading the training facilities and I would not be suprised to see other building works.

I'd be suprised if AP is not given until xmas. I think that NC is keen to build up a reputation as a no nonsence man (Daily Echo etc.) and I think the dig at the recent league form was part of this.

We are in the financial position to sign players like O'Hara permanently. Nuff said. (obviously some work to do to persuade them to come!)

Gutted, But the lads played their hearts out. Owusu Abeiye was class. Amazing that they were allowed to sign him considering all their financial woes. Once we were chasing the game it was likely that we would get hit on the break. Hope Barnard gets a slice of luck soon

The next few weeks will be very important for AP's time at Southampton. Whilst we are in the two cups (sadly I think the play offs are gone) its unlikely NC will change the manager. Once we are out of FA cup, out/won JP Cup NC has a hard decsion. Will AP give him guaranteed promotion from this league next season? If he has any doubts, on what we know of him to date, he will act pretty quickly. We all want stable management, but we want to get out of this s**thole of a league a whole lot more
