I really hope that Pochettino stays. BUT if the board know he is going then we need fast action. The ideal would be to announce a new manager at the same time as we say that Pochettino has left. Certainly we would need a new manager before Eng finish the world cup.

A few thoughts :- 1. I would imagine his pay off package means that he had to be careful what he says. 2. He may know full well that because of release clauses in the players contracts that should the right offer come in the is no way the club can stop some big money moves. 3. Not surprisingly he is trying to make himself look as good as possible (as any of us would do in his shoes)

It's also interesting to look at this list and think that with our relatively small squad and large prem income we ought to be able to offer pretty good wages to our top players. I'm sure we will add a few players and I am also sure that we will see some more players come out of the youth team.

With the massive increase in Prem money, it's hard to know what is the "right" price to sell a player at. 1. Hopefully we don't sell any. 2. If we do, then hold on until after the world cup and get as much money as possible.

His transfer away from us was the start of Chelski. He played well for us and we got good money for him when he left (not his fault that we didn't make the most of it) Sad he's retired at only 33, but then he's not short of a bob or two I expect

Remember seeing him against Tranmere in Div 1 when he was the best player on the pitch. I watched our last game in Championship against Coventry the other day and saw how much he was involved. He has ben a good servant to this club and I for one will give him a good yell next Sunday.
