Sad if true Would have liked VVD to join a club than might WIN the CL in 2018/2019 after doing one more season with us. Going to Liverpool from us isn't quite a sideways move, but it's not the leap that Barca, PSG or Real Madrid would be

I think we have missed VvD big time. Neither Yoshida or Stephens makes the attacking runs like he does nor are they the threat at set pieces. The team were fantastic in the Cup Final BUT the last 3 games have been very disappointing. I think Puel should be given until xmas, but if we do our usual summer sell off I would be worried about next season

A good point against a team with amazing attacking options. I think the game plan was to try and hold it at 0-0 until mid 2nd half and then see if the pace of Long and JROD (neither of whom could have done 90 minutes) might get us a goal on the break

Cedric seemed to have taken on big Vic's former role of seeing how many times he can pass the ball to the other side

With Alan Ball I felt Initial disappointment, then pleased when it all went tits up for him, then later sadness that such a great player made such poor decisions as a manager. I think RK is following the same path

If we take someone who is out of work then Everton will affectively have paid their first years wages for us. Also, if RK had stayed and not signed a new contract the next season could have been difficult

With guaranteed UEFA group stage football next season I am confident JWP will get plenty of game time

Maybe circa £25 Million next year if he dosn't sign a new contract £40 Million min this year with two years remaining

RK has made it fairly clear that his long term aims are to manage Barcalona & Holland. Would taking the Everton job this year help that?.................I think not Would seeing out his contract here and then go to somewhere like Arsenal next season help that?................yes it would Would staying at Saints and deliver European football for several seasons help?..............yes it would IMHO he won't go anywhere until his contract here is finished. With all due respects to Everton if he leaves us he will want to go to a club with a better squad than saints, significantly more money than Saints and in the Champions League
