  1. You know what I meant. Until someone signs him would have been a better way to say it, we are winding his contract down until he becomes a free agent. That better for you?
  2. A Southampton player in registration only. In reality everyone knows he's never going to play for us again, hence loaning him out until his contract winds down in the hope someone will buy him, in this case Boro
  3. Are we going to keep this thread going every time he scores, or even every time he plays live on the box? It'll be fun. Thing is, he's playing in the championship now for a team at the top where he will see a lot of the ball, against much worse defenders than he's been used to. I dont think we should really be lauding him every time he scores a goal in a level comfortably worse than what we spent £12m to utilise him for. I see Dean Hammond scored the other day for Sheff Utd...lets start a thread about how he could still do a job for us if given a chance at Prem level...
  4. Yes, yes you are ridiculous. Extraordinary stance really, suddenly everyone absolutely loves Leicester, even to the detriment of their own side! Yes it would be nice for them to win the league obviously, I'd love it as much as the next person, but if you actually want us to lose to them in order for that to happen then I think you need to take a look at yourself.
  5. Even if it was the final game of the season and a win would give Leicester the title, it still wouldn't mean as much to me as Saints winning, even if we were in mid table. Surely that's what being a supporter is about? Wanting your team to win every game?

    Nivea Boy

Terrific to get one over on him yesterday, especially after seeing him lauding it when they were winning.
  7. Stoke at 9/5 looking a steal, lol.
  8. Surely Soares is our best right back though and surely just putting Yoshida in at CB makes more sense than playing the inexperienced Martina and Targett at full back against a very tricky Shaqiri? Whilst also moving Bertrand out of his favoured position? Sorry but to me it seems absolutely ridiculous and massively weakens our defensive line up more than is already necessary.
  9. Is Koeman serious when he says we are pushing for Europe. Seems to me he possibly thinks we don't have a great deal to play for so is trying out certain fringe players?
  10. I was thinking this last night. 50 points minimum should be the aim. I think any season Where we pass 50 points can only be seen as a decent effort really. Just being realistic.
  11. Haha I knew the moment I put that, someone would pick up on it. Genuine error but no edit feature unless I sign up and pay the fiver! Too tight for that
  12. Yep, I'd offer him an extension. Great idea after years of doing nothing in the premiership I'd definitely tie the club down to another year or 2 of 60k a week on the back of 2 goals at a level lower than what would be required for us.
  13. What I don't get is how is lauded on here by some as "always showing great effort when he's played" or "you can never fault his effort". Err what? When was all this effort? As far as I can he's sat on his Arse for 60k per week, consistently performed way below his maximum for 2-3 years......but yet still seen as under appreciated by many on here. Is it because he's always compared to Osvaldo, who was without one of the biggest ****s in world football thus making Gaston look like an absolute grafter in comparison? I honestly don't get it.
  14. Yep, it's pretty childish as the hatred is clearly based on something more than just footballing ability. Many more players worthy of stick than Tadic.
  15. No I hadn't only just realised, but when he blatantly gets his facts wrong it's even worse than just being shyt, it's pure laziness and an insult to those who contribute to pay for his wages
  16. Just had a quick look at his "Team of the week" column, in which he typically includes pretty much anyone who scored a goal and was on the winning team. Ivanovic was on his list, to which he noted "What a great header by Branislav Ivanovic to give Chelsea a win at Southampton. It's quite extraordinary that this victory was only their second away win of the season" Yes, it was even more extraordinary , being that it was actually their 4th away win of the season. Lazy lazy punditry yet again, the info is there these days for anyone to actually look these things up. Off the top of my head I could remember that Chelsea had won more than once away from home before playing us. Yet Crooks, who must be paid handsomely by the BBC, can't even be bothered to check his facts before posting his drivel. How he's still employed is a mystery, I don't even remember him as a player, and I'm 34. Time for him to be let go surely.
  17. He is by far the most cringeworthy, cheesy, sound bite loving the sound of his own voice commentator ever. Truly truly dreadful. I literally can't have the volume on if he's commentating
  18. I'm sure they all remember where abouts on the terraces they stood when they won those oh so relevant league titles in the late 40's and I'm sure they all joined in the street parties of that oh so modern day cup winning balmy day in 1939. Makes you a huge club if you've won stuff 70 + years ago, just ask those eternal trophy winners Bury, or even Old Etonians. Massive clubs.
  19. Jesus Christ, he isn't good enough for the Prem. Billy Sharp looked good for us in the Championship and scored plenty of goals at that level. Not sure why people think Gaston is a special case just because he's foreign and came with a big billing. The fact he was pretty poor for Hull last year, to the point that he ended up on the bench, should hint to you that he's clearly not suited to the Prem.
  20. No no wait, it's just been bettered by this absolute gem "If you really think about the current PL season, this should have been the trophy dodgers big big chance, but they blew it. All of the big teams underperforming, with spurs doing a bit better than normal, and Leicester of course having a right go with spirit and dynamism. This PL season has almost been a tipping point with so many 'big' players just not showing up, it's almost as if they have got so much money, and such a glamorous lifestyle, that they are looking down at all the 'lesser teams' who are financially so far behind, that many of their players feel that all they have to do is turn up to pick up all 3 points. It's almost as if complacency has become the great leveller, but sadly for the dodgers they sold so many of their assets through sheer greed that the very season when they had a great chance they are playing catch up again after rebuilding yet another team. If they had only turned up in greater numbers at St Charity's the management could have been thinking about expanding their stadium. Oh well, rebuild again next year, Koeman will probably be off, and West Ham, Spurs, Liverpool etc will all be in much bigger stadiums. They are getting left behind, and they know it."
  21. Oh dear.....post of the year surely from an angry skate...... "If you had the terrible misfortune that we've had, your club would be long gone, luck has kept you going for too long, about time your useless club died." Terrible misfortune.....dear oh dear. Still feeling sorry for themselves. I fail to see how still existing after having millions pounds of debt literally written off is terrible misfortune. Major Lols all round.
  22. http://fansonline.net/portsmouth/mb/view.php?id=622480 Bless. That's literally the only argument they can give, sounds like their current predicament is really grating at them. The two clubs are absolutely worlds apart, back in the reality of the present day. Major lols at lumping their championship 2003 title in with their 2 league wins in the late 40's. Kinda pathetic actually
  23. Apparently the reason they are doing so badly is that the players can't handle the pressure of playing for Pompey, where they're such a huge club for that level. Unbelievable
  24. I thought Newport County were The9's favourite team anyway, with Saints 2nd?
  25. Blaming bad luck when we totally obliterated them 4-0 was just utterly embarassing from him, if i were an Arsenal fan I would have thought the same too.
