Great post, very much my thoughts.

Highlight for me was the two guys to my right deciding they'd seen enough and walking out on 88 mins when we'd just won a corner! I kid you not. Seriously, who leaves at 0-0 with 2 mins to go when your team is piling on the pressure and have just won a corner?! Utterly bizarre
-
Embarassing. A few unlucky defeats and suddenly we are awful overnight in many peoples predictions. Jesus
-
What an utter loser. Seriously, getting the club involved just cos he's shared a bit of random eye contact with some bit of fluff. She could simply be looking back at him Thinking "why the hell is this **** constantly looking at me". Creepy little man
-
Are you posts for real, or are you deliberately coming across as a spoilt little child? we are 2nd in the league and the game is still 0-0 ffs and one of the richest teams in the world.
-
Good to see you're mind is made up 18 minutes into our first biggest test of the season so far, at 0-0

This little rib tickler caught my eye on Pompey messageboard..... A.S Kate **** posted - "As a fan I'm sick to death at still being punished for the misdemeanors of 'fit and proper persons' who took this Club to the financial precipice. This team is the result of Football League sanctions, a team that nobody else wanted, that can't score, can't tackle and have the overall speed of a tortoise. Aldershot cut us to ribbons at times tonight fighting for everything whilst we stood and watched. Not fit to wear the shirt and have our support"

The Awford out post are already filtering through on the pompey messageboard. 2 already started within a few seconds of the final whistle

£1 million according to the news......a figures based on absolutely nothing, just plucked out of thin air

Oh, it was a rushed post? Sorry, its just that you said it was the iPhones fault earlier. Im sticking to my explanation of illiteracy as the real reason and the excuse of the idiot is always that it doesn't really matter and is trivial. You are the one coming across as an utter tool here pal, hope that helps. Seriously what does it matter if there's the odd spelling mistake and why the need to get all high and mighty about it? Pathetic

Evans girlfriend comes from a millionaire father, who is bankrolling the appeal process and Evans website. Money definitely isn't the reason. Not sure what the reason is, unless she genuinely believes he's innocent of the crime.

The crowd roar jingle to announce there'd been a goal was recorded, but I think batman is referring to when they actually switched to the live reporter at the ground (Usually John Hughes) and in those few seconds if it there was a vibrant crowd noise in the background it usually meant we'd scored, whereas if it was pretty quiet it meant we'd conceded. You could also tell by the enthusiasm in Hughes Voice as he said "it's southampton...." Before announcing the score.

Just thought i'd share some nostalgic views, the 1990 Saints History on VHS thread got me reminiscing about the old days of radio solent before live commentary was a regular feature. Throughout my childhood memoeries of Solent, I always remember Grant Coleman's voice, the music cutting off to a crowd roaring sound to signify that a goal had been scored in one of the 3 games (Always remember games ticking into the last few minutes when Saints were hanging on to a narrow lead and praying we wouldn't hear the roar - though often we did and Saints had thrown it away again! How times change). Also used to love the music they used to play when the final scores were filtering through - Music By John Miles (last minute or so of the track) and Bruce Hornsby - The Way It Is. Great memories and a very big part of my upbringing following saints, before I was old enough to attend games on my own.

This! "He was never fit though, Charlie....if he was a horse you'd shoot him!" -
I have this on video somewhere, classic stuff. Especially love the jazzed up "Oh when the Saints" which plays at beginning and end.

The last really unfancied side to have an extremely good season from memory was Ipswich in 2000/01 when they finished 5th with 66 points which was an astonishing points total for a club of that size. For large parts of the season they were up in 3rd and only fell down to 5th in May. That was under Burley, but think they got relegated the next season.

Essex deserved to go up instead of Worcs in my opinion. With worcs you had a guy single handed my winning them games on his own time and again, then his action was proven to be illegal. Then you had the subsequent slump in their form the minute he left, getting beaten easily on a number of occasions. Add to that the fact it was an open secret that a lot of their fans wanted them to roll over and allow Essex to win and go up with them , resulting in a mass promotion love in and back-slapping party afterwards. Well luckily hants hadn't read the script, so thanks for the title Worcs ;-)
-
Was definitely the right decision. If we'd put them back in there was every chance they'd fair much better, on what was only a 2nd day pitch and then leave us with a tricky chase on day 3/4 on a raging turner. Had the potential to be disastrous. With a long time left to still bowl them out, it was a bit of a no brainer for me
-
All out 357. Take that. Does mean that we are going to have to win though unless Essex get bowled for under 300. Unlikely given that they are 198/3 with 41 overs left to get 102 runs. Worcs have been an absolute joke today.
-
Tahir fancying the 5th batting point it seems ;-)
-
Just got it! Can't ask for much more fr 53 for 5
-
This. Had 80 overs now, If we can bat up to 90, we SHOULD be ok, being that the lead is now 70, another 20 odd runs in 10 overs may be sufficient
-
Always feared this. Somehow we need to get through another 10-12 overs here
-
Stumps, 110/1. 46 behind. Looking good for the draw, barring a collapse.
-
If we manage to secure the draw along with getting 4 batting points, that is a monumental effort from the position we were in at lunch today.
