He is blatantly out of his depth. You can tell when a player is genuinely at a test level ability but is struggling (Ballance, Bell), compared to simply not at the level required (Lyth). He's 27 already and his FC average is a relatively modest 42, which dozens of players who have never been selected for their country achieve. Ballance was dropped after making scores of 61,0,23,14.....way more runs than Lyth has made so far. I guess we are just short of quality openers to replace him at the moment.

Well, that's another game lost. 2 wickets on ten stroke of lunch has meant this games all over bar the formalities. I won't be wasting my money going to any 4 day games this season if this is the dross they are going to be serving up. If they can't even be bothered to try putting together a squad that's going to at least compete and show a bit of promise then I'm not going to bother either.

Obviously the whole set up at the club is geared at the more lucrative t20. The whole emphasis of the club appears to be on one day cricket. Probably explains the woeful ageing injury prone stop gap signings we've made for the 4 day side. The bowling lineup in the current game would struggle to bowl A div 2 side out, let alone div 1. Embarassing and I'd be willing to bet we go the whole championship season winless. Said as much after the first 3 games

As S Clarke says, if on a loan deal again or maybe under 5m then may be worth a shot, but I think his composure on the ball is fooling a lot of people. No, woeful stuff. We don't really look good enough at this level to be honest. In only 1 game have we looked ok, against Warks. In the rest we've always been behind the 8 ball and just trying to survive. Winning any game in div 1 is gonna be a tough ask I'd say. 2 wins max all season IMO

Based on what? His contribution so far? I must have missed something. Being technically comfortable on the ball and able to pass sideways a few yards doesn't make him full of potential. He's also 24 I think so hardly a nipper due to suddenly hit his straps and improve a lot

Been interesting to read people's view on him, but mine are pretty straight forward - he's a total nothing player. It's easy to "look pretty useful" when you're coming on in a losing cause against poor sides who are going to sit back and hang on their lead, meaning he will get a few touches and see a fair bit of the ball. However, the thing is....is he likely to actually ever DO anything that will contribute to any kind of positive results or to Saints working their way back into a game such as this? The game changing passes, scoring a goal, a brilliant through ball etc, even any kind of assist, a corner right on someone's head. So far, we've seen absolutely none of any of these things. Tadic, even though has gone off the boil this season, has had several match winning/defining moments for us this season, something I'm pretty sure Djuricic will not do. He's barely even premier league standard (Hull, Burnley level at best) with what he offers. A quick look at his career history so far also backs up the suggestion that he is not prem level. A total waste of a signing who looks neat and tidy but offers absolutely nothing. I was staggered that the asking price is supposedly 10m for him if (god forbid) we try to make his deal permanant. I wouldn't even pay 5m. I'm not making him any kind of scapegoat, i'm just saying that to me he seemed a bizarre signing from the start and is just wasting a squad place. He is supposedly our "creative" reserve when Tadic isn't playing, but the key point here is....He creates nothing
