You played football back in the day? You should have said! Not sure you've ever mentioned this before
-
We weren't that bad last year. 20 Dec beat Everton 3-0 26 Dec beat Palace 3-1 29 Dec drew with Chelsea 1-1 Then new yrs day beat Arsenal 2-0. Actually bloody good!
-
When was the last time we got a non league team in the cup? Certainly not in my time following saints and I'm 34 now. It'll prob be a championship side , often seem to get that in the 3rd round.
-
Ah, so this is your current phrase that you're going to keep repeating ad nauseum tonight is it? "We are turning into Stoke"....wtf does that even mean?! You,ve never mentioned this theory before today, and suddenly something in todays game has convinced you that we are turning into Stoke, so much so that you've had to say it almost every time you've posted this evening. Did you even watch Stoke last season, or are they just a suitable boring club to pigeon hole us into for effect? Go on, say it the next time you post too, it'll be classic. You are so fickle that the comedy effect of you reacting to everything on a game by game basis is hilarious to read.

How many ****ing goals do we want to concede right on ****ing half time!!
-
Jesus Christ. The kind of fan everyone dreads being sat behind them at games.
-
Love the way the game goes all flat once we are behind. Lack of ideas
-
That's probably that now to be honest. Crap at chasing games at home
-
How many times against a big team do we take the lead, dominate and then concede against the run of play?!!
-
Yes, that's exactly what it does. One mirror article suggesting we are trying to sign a young pacy winger definitely confirms that Mane is off.

When was the last time we scored a decisive late goal at home?

What part of the "at home" part of the thread are you struggling with? -

Which is not very often then, if you're having to go back 4 seasons to remember the previous one -

Sod's law immediately after I posted the thread I remembered that one. But still, it goes to show how few and far between these games actually are. One game in two and a half seasons where we've scored a goal in the last 10 mins at SMS to either grab a win or rescue a point. Admittedly part of the reason is that in many games we've been comfortably ahead by the last 10 mins, but it does show that if we don't get ahead early, we tend to struggle. -
I'm struggling to remember any game at SMS where we've scored late to either grab a draw or win for a very long time. 1-1 at home to Sunderland in Aug 13 is literally the most recent I can remember. Seems we really struggle to break sides down at home once we either go 1-0 down or if the game stays 0-0 until the last 10-15 mins.

With each post that you submit, especially after your summer 2014 outbursts, you lose more and more credibility. Are you seriously suggesting this team? No Davis even though in his best form for ages? Yoshida at CB even though VVD fit? VVD out of position in midfield? Harrison Reed to start when previously been nowhere the team? Words fails me
-
Did you once play football at quite a decent standard? Not sure you've ever mentioned this before.
-
Got 48, bloody difficult that! Only missed about 4 or 5 of ours though.
-
As usual, the moment we play any kind of under strength side, we look utter turd. Can't remember the last time we played well with a deliberately under strength side.

"This is our ****innn year mate"
-
What a complete load of tosh this post now looks.
-
Parts of this thread are just pure gold. I just love how people are making out that they want us to play a load of the fringe players, but you cant bet anything that if we did just that and ended up losing then those same people would be going absolutely mental!

Today marks another year gone by since THAT 6-3 win over Man Utd. Still remains to this day remains the best saints game i've ever been to and my most joyful day supporting our great team (wasn't born until 1981 so the 76 cup final was before my time). That crazy last 5 minutes will forever live in my memory when we carved utd open and went 4,5,6 against a genuinely world class side, even though they were down to 10 men. Couldn't believe what I was witnessing. We even had a goal disallowed for a 7th if I remember rightly Berkovic walked the ball in but was offside or something. If there was anything I could change it would be that i'd have been in the Archers Road end for this game, didn't start getting tickets there until i was a bit older.
