I could not agree more than this. I wasn't around for the McMenemy days but I was for the Branfoot days and they were dire. I fear for our club and where we are going, as it stands the Sky Bet Championship and a local derby with our bitter rivals. We are being embarrassed and humiliated for the whole world to see.
-
I agree, this side is so unfit it's scary, way short of what it requires. It's all too late anyway. We are down and it's not even Xmas. It's going to be a long old slog to the end of this season. I don't think I have ever been as depressed as a saints fan as I am now. This season will go down in history, how many records we break now remain to be seen. The damage that has been done will take years to recover from.

TalkSport were just talking about Saints.Jim White who seems to be close to dragon said the owners are aware he is losing the fans and feel he needs the support of the fans. He clearly doesn't have the fans have a feeling Sunday will be his last game. Jog on and humiliate someone else Russell!!!

No wonder our fitness levels are so bad!

This needs locking! He's going nowhere

Anyone bringing a “we’ll be back” banner? Maybe a jester hat and face paint combo to accompany it?
-
I agree, and I wasn’t sticking up for Ralph at all, I was talking about our home record since he left. Pretty sure I’ve not said anywhere that he should’ve stayed.
-
I’m no great Ralph fan but with Ralph : W1 D3 L3 Post Ralph: W1 D1 L9 that latter record is an utter disgrace . £600 plus for a season ticket and you then find out the majority of the squad didn’t give a shit anyway. Brilliant, cheers saints

Without doubt THE worst manager we’ve ever had. Comfortably worse than Jones , the bloke is a complete moron. I am struggling to believe he is this clueless, surely he can’t be genuinely thinking his subs and tactics are going to get us out of trouble. If he does, he needs sectioning.
-
Apparently still has a house down here unlikely this will happen unless Villa bring a striker in! Would be great but so unlikely my guess is we will bring some lower league French teenager in 🤯
-
Absolutely embarrassing this from the club! What are they thinking
-
I’m in the same boat! He seems a nice guy and all that! Just because he has a few tattoos and shows a bit of passion fist pumping the crowd etc doesn’t make him a good player. He’s a liability at times and a total lose cannon. His touch today was embarrassing at times.
-
I totally disagree. He’s out of form and players go out of form he’s not himself and I wonder what’s going on behind closed doors. You don’t just turn shit over night! The thing is we can’t score as it is take James out of the side what options do we have on free kicks? His free kicks are like a penalty when we get them he is still deadly from dead balls. For me a better manager gets more from JWP

You speak so much sense I couldn’t agree more. How Diallo got to half time truly baffled me, I hope we don’t see him near the starting 11 in a very long time! We need fresh ideas and fast, slow side passing we look so deject of any ideas. We have no pace in attack. Adam’s like you say does the hard work the hold up play is good but he just won’t get enough goal to keep us up. They must have a striker ready and lined up for January 1st otherwise like you say we will be gone by April.

Lavia didn’t train at the open session I saw him walk though the car park at the end. I also had a chat with ABK and he said the shoulder is good and he felt ok. Just unsure when he will return.
-
I’m also looking for one ticket if anyone has one available
-
I would say the goalkeeper coach is lucky to keep his job too! From watching the warm up on match days his distribution is embarrassing, comparing that to the standards of Martyn Margeston he’s way way short!
-
The complete reluctance to recruit anyone with genuine leadership experience or solid premier league experience in defensive areas is going to undoubtedly relegate us, and i find it utterly astonishing that we didn't, and still don't, consider this quality a priority. Cedric apparently in the "leadership group" and JWP as captain is absolutely laughable and shows how much trouble we're in. We clearly thought we could churn out untried young, rough gems every time, all under 25, and we'd be ok. Naivety in the extreme and ridiculously complacent in what is regarded as the toughest league in the world. "Tough" being the key word.....you need "tough" players, people who will dig in when you don't have the resources to buy the best skilled players. We've failed at this, and we'll pay for it.

The all new relegation priced thread 2019 (it gets earlier every year!).

Not with with his passionate "We march on" rallying call, surely! The guy is all about passion! -
Literally anyone with half an idea about football could spout the rubbish he does. Ederson as keeper of the week, even though he had nothing to do all week. Reason for being picked? Because he loves to use his feet. Crooks is a clown of the highest order.

Gotta love this kind of arrogance, when we are below them in the league and their home form is pretty decent (W6 D4 L4). Typical modern Saints fan reaction after a decent win. Let's not kid ourselves that this will suddenly be an easy game. A point is a decent enough result here after the win against Spurs. Brighton will clearly be bang up for it.
-
I loved that thread, very good comedy value in it. I'm sure the OP initially suggested (at the creation of the thread), that we would possibly only need 5 wins total to stay up.
-
Yep, just as he did with a fair few others. Les has crippled the club with these kind of decisions.
