I must admit I have a gap in my collection. I have every home shirt from 1976 onwards, but will not be buying this. I preferred the south China version. It is the gold that makes it look tacky

First home kit I haven't bought, and I have had all of the others, going back to admiral 75-76. Can't get used to the gold tat on red. Seems like a Charlton shirt. I think the club thought we would all flock to buy an adidas kit, so didn't really try with the design. Will wear the striped shirt from the promotion season at games this season.

About 9 years ago, when we were in the EPL, I found something in Thailand I thought I would never see, although you can find ANYTHING football related there. I have a pink France shirt, a green everton shirt and a yellow England one. I saw a girl wearing a blue and white saints shirt. I offered to buy it but had nothing to trade, I was wearing a brand new saints shirt at the time. I have also bought a blue Liverpool shirt and wound my spuds supporting mate when I found his team in red with white bits on the sleeves. I don't think he ever wore it :-)

Has anyone mentioned the planning precedent that having a tesco built on krap nottarf would make. Those developers are cunning, the few now WANT a supermarket built on their hallowed ground. Now the developers slowly pull the plug by draining the club. Then once the club is no more they can develop the rest of the ground. How could the council say no, with tesco already there.

Saints are stripes. Probably with blue shorts for the pure historians. My generation know red white and black as saints colours. Would support a stripes season, not just a match.

Correct, the atmosphere was rubbish as the club sold just the itchen, the kingsland, then the two ends, meant that any vocal support was spread around the ground. They didn't think it would sell but it was nearly a sell out iirc. Ormerod opened the scoring.
