Ok just for clarification, this is how Ebbsfleet works, from one of the owners. It is one share, one vote. The members have never picked the team, although there is an option if enough members wanted to. It is an IPS with an elected board representing the members. The club has a chief exec, and chairman as normal, just that the club owner is the society that is MyFootballClub.co.uk. Members vote on issues such as ticket pricing, kit manufacturers and design, merchandise, staffing at the club, wage budgets etc. Yes numbers did go down at renewal as the northern members(mainly) left due to geography. When alot signed up there was no club as Ebbsfleet was not picked until 4 months into the project. Alot (I think about a third) of the membership is in fact from abroad. There are about 80 current members in Hampshire.

Verbal summed up 24 threads, consisting of about 24 pages each in one bloody post. I lost a whole summer for that. The only thing about this one is it has to have a happy ending, or else a very abrupt one.

No one has mentioned the managerial revolving door yet either.

I would suggest someone ring the Echo to guage opinion. Maybe they could do a phone poll or something. I am a member of MyFootballClub and know Will Brooks through it might be able to introduce him. Also friendly with the CEO of Ebbsfleet, who was a member originally. Need to look at the Barcelona model very closely to understand the workings.

Let's have some names of potential new owners then...

Not sure what this means but just been sent this: The Saints Trust are working in partnership with the City Council For the past few weeks the Saints Trust have been working alongside the City Council in looking at ways they can help the Club, this follows on from the Press Statement of a few weeks ago when the Trust called for the Council and local MP's to get involved with the Club's plight. Since then the Trust has entered into dialogue with all parties and has been looking into positive ways to help the Club's plight, sadly it had been apparent that the club was staring over the precipice and that anything that could be done might be too late. However despite this mornnings announcement the Trust will launch a campaign alongside the council to encourage Saints Supporters to get behind the Club in the vital weeks to the end of the season and indeed beyond, the Club has been in existence for 124 years, every Saints supporter would surely want to see it make 125. This is about Southampton Football Club and not about one individual, its about the supporters and the supporters only. On Thursday Evening the Saints Trust and City Council would like as many Saints supporters, whether Trust members or not to come along to a Photo Call for the Press at the Civc Centre, all supporters of any age will be welcome and please wear the Club colours with pride, this is a chance for Supporters to show the world that they will not let the Club die. The intention is to take a group photograph for the Daily Echo to publicise the campaign on the steps of the Civic Centre, there will be some significance to the location, in that the picture taken in the Club's darkest hour will be just underneath the balcony where Lawrie McMenemy and the team presented the FA Cup to thousands of fans in its greatest hour back in 1976. Please come along and show your support for the Club and indeed anyone who would like to get involved with this campaign please contact the Saints Trust through its website or the City Council.

So we could be a football club minus SLH which means we don't own SMS. Then we could be held to ransom over the lease if, indeed, it remains a football stadium?

I remember the news breaking on the BBC and having a bit of intrigue, was almost sold on the idea when GB was announced, felt a bit disappointed. I don't remember any fuss at the time.

2 points behind Blackpool with a game in hand. Who'd believe it!

You wonder if he (NickG) ever read the Facebook group manifesto on the march. The Wotte thing only became 'relevant' after the Echo piece and was not mentioned in the organisation of the marches. Neither was Crouch mentioned, it was all about Lowe and Wilde. But why worry about the truth when you can keep persecuting a young lad who is passionate enough to want to try to make a difference!

Nick, there are 3 sides to this, either you like Lowe, or you dislike him and do feck all about it or you dislike Lowe and want to let the world know it as it makes you feel better and might, and it is only a small hope, might actually have an effect. So don't get on your high horse about protests and allow people the freedom of expression that comes with living in a democracy.
-
I was also on the march but continued my boycott of Lowe. This is the only way that he will see the light. The attendance wasn't that great but if you consider his was the second march and also the bickering between the protests. Also the fact that it is run by a nipper, who to be honest didn't put across his thoughts on Wotte properly, did not help matters. I think that must be the end for a march in that form. A boycott is the next logical solution but as most of the crowd are season ticket holders the club would hide the figures. Maybe the STH should tell the club if they will not renew, but looking at the reaction of some to the march, I bet alot will blindly renew anyway. I had a conversation with quite a few people at about 3 o clock with quite a few like minded fans. As for a walk away, i think it would be better if you kept the fans outside the ground in a sit down protest, it would make a bigger statement as others could join after the game if they watch the team. Also feel the walk around the ground was a good idea yesterday. Btw I remember saints winning in 76 and have been a regular from late 80's to last May! Ps I will be back like a shot the minute RL and his cronies leave.

Protest stage 2: February 21st, meeting at bargate again.

Get behind the march anyway. Forget whether you consider Wotte's comments to offend you or not. -

This is something that could be set up whilst on this new march. FFS don't argue its merits but use it as a means to an end. Also for what its worth the first march got off the ground through Facebook and here and the media chased it. They didn't go after them to advertise it. We do need to move things on as a fanbase to escalate these protests but people need to talk openly in the flesh to get things moving, so I will ask all those who feel they want to make a protest, support this one, raise your voice before we set off and we can grow and build this together. Collectively! -
Lowe did have a plan B, sack JP and appoint Wotte. No hang on a minute....

I've been saying this since Lowe came back! -
That is the main reception desk email address.
-
That is the whole point though, keep the protests coming as the pressure will build, as long as they are co-ordinated and not in competition. There is room for lots of different types of protest.

I must admit I didn't have much joy finding an email for Barclays.

If you are considering not renewing your season ticket or membership for next season TELL THEM! Post back your renewal form and email them telling them why your not going next year. Even if you are boycotting or are considering it TELL THEM! If you gave up your ST or membership last year tell them why. Also don't forget to copy your email to Barclays bank. Saints main email address is sfc@saintsfc.co.uk If hundreds or thousands email they cannot ignore the threat that our custom will cease. This is no way is intended to replace the marches and other protests, just to add to it. If you march please send an email too!
