  1. That's only true unless it results in a penalty to Liverpool
  2. You've got to wonder how Liverpool recover from today. Slot's honeymoon is over.
  3. Don't worry, Liverpool will fade. We've got this
  4. Penalty, surely?
  5. Let's get Manning on and see out the win
  6. Barely any hug for Onuachu there
  7. We've had our 35 minutes of control from Lallana.
  8. Stephens needs the freedom a libero role provides. Anything else is a waste. Playing him as a traditional centre back is like taking a blowtorch to a unique snowflake.
  9. That's four players out of position right there.
  10. At what point does it stop being avoiding complacency and start being taking the piss?
  11. Glad he stuck to his guns with Fraser matched up against Salah at left back and Lallana playing box to box in midfield.
  12. Looking at this City team it's clear they don't have the players to play Russball
  13. City just learned what happens when you play it forward and don't keep possession
  14. City haven't learned their lesson. They just sent an early cross in. Then Foden played a through ball to a winger. Stupid route one football. They really don't get Russball
  15. Man City have to hope Liverpool get the same degree of complacency after their routine win tomorrow
  16. That's a relief then....
  17. Any week now it's going to click.
  18. One can only imagine it would be a lot like the FYRE documentary.
  19. I didn't say anything against Russ. Russ the man is not Russball the system. If most of your possession is around your own penalty area then any extreme conditions mean you're more likely to make mistakes.
  20. Russball is not going to benefit from any situation where passing or control is more difficult.
  21. Hello old friend complacency. Is it that time again? What's that old adage?... never interrupt your enemy while they are making a mistake.
  22. Or in our case sideways and backwards passing.
  23. This is the kind of game where we raise ourselves and either sneak a win or are pegged back for a draw. It's also the kind of game we get absolutely tonked so 🤷‍♂️
  24. “It always starts with us and then, of course, we look at Liverpool and have a look at a few things that we can try and capitalise on,” he continued. “We also need to understand their threats, which they have a lot of. We have prepared the same way we prepare for every game. “To try and be better than our last one and to try and prepare as best we can and find a way to stop the opposition and to impose our own game as much as we can. “[Whether it works or not] we’ll find out on Sunday. “I think we have real ways that if we stick to the game plan and stay brave and aggressive, then we always have a chance against anyone.” Spoiler alert. It won't (work).
