Turning Japanese, I think I'm turning Japanese, I really think so...

Covered that aspect, as above!!!! It's a great song for a Japanese goal! -

That's why it has extra relevance IMO. If the mods wish to shut the thread, so be it! :-) -
Turning Japanese by the Vapors - top 10 hit in the early 80s. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gEmJ-VWPDM4 It works for both our Japanese players and is an easy song! The chorus is at about 1.10 in the vid: "I'm turning Japanese, I think I'm turning Japanese, I really think so..." (Mind you, the song is meant to be about masturbation!)

Spot on and a total muppet as well. Really what we don't need!

Chasing yet another championship player and trying to get him for nothing, although to be fair it doesn't look like he's going to add much. I hope Hull tell Appy to do one though! http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/pompey-past/pompey-waiting-on-defender-response-1-4208619

What exactly is it? Can you give some examples please?

It does look like they were cut off as there is no other sensible explanation. Perhaps it is part of a cunning plan by birch to show they are on their uppers and need to accept the chanrai bid.

Fantastic, only just caught up with this. More twists and turns than a twisty turny thing. So TB has concluded PST can't do it and has tipped off BC with an invitation to come and grab the £3m pot as well as taking over. BC says "thanks mate" and offers the same deal meaning their current dodgy player budget is back on the scrapheap. Happy days!

I ain't bothered about one player. Far rather keep King Rickie and his crew happy than upset the apple cart.
-
4,335 or so at Colchester in total. So I guess maybe 750 of the phew. Which is quite good but also the hard core.
-
Fantastic. Appy wants the local business community who have been shafted royally by PFC to pay £60K towards one player for 3 months until January - so just £3.5K a week then for another player who's not in it for the money.
-
There are UK companies that specialise in overseas car insurance for UK drivers and cars.
-
Yep, that Daily Mail article says that Pompey now have enough money to last until January and the wage bill is £30,000 a week. So the latest PPs are being eroded making the club less attractive than ever.

By and large Citeh fans are the same as any other group of fans. They hunker up when the going's tough and start giving it the large one when they do well!!

I think we have to trust Cortese on this. He's not Peter Storrie.
-
I think 15K home support is pretty good compared to what they are likely to get as an average though. This game enabled them to be joyous for a bit, was against fairly local opposition and was a nice day. It's as good as it gets I'd imagine.

Manchester's latest fashionable area which is full of pubs and restaurants is the Northern Quarter which is situated just north of Piccadilly Gardens and is an easy walk from Piccadilly railway station. A new favourite of mine which has just opened is the Tib Street Tavern. You'd need a black cab (which are plentiful) for a 2 mile journey to the City ground from the Northern Quarter.

All very cloudy as a relevant Portsmouth councillor informed me that PFC had received £5.58m last week as PPs, not £3.4m as in the Telegraph article. The question is whether TB is diverting the PPs from creditors as operating capital or whether he is operating PFC on current expected football revenues from expected season ticket sales and match day walk-ups. If he is diverting PP cash allocated by himself to secured and unsecured creditors then he's running a speculative venture based on the PST finding the funds or another buyer turning up. That could put TB right in the doo-doo as the person who is meant to be representing the best interests of the creditors. I'm sure HMRC, Portpin and the ex-players' advisors are watching closely with a view to a challenge. It does seem TB has gone native in an attempt to keep his reputation of saving clubs unblemished.
-
I wonder whether those actually start now. I'd bet the ex-players are frigging furious at the moment which is good news longer term.
-
So that's £19K per week before any other signings that will follow. And I've probably underestimated overall (my estimates not Badger's to be clear).
-
8,000 season tickets at £200 isn't going to go far though. That's about £30K a week plus let's say £7.5K a week average for pay on the day at 2,000 fans. Prob just enough to splutter along until the big decision is taken to liquidate or leave admin. I'm going to send another email to the FL asking them about the details of their decision and how it has been justified.
-
Agreed. It's a waste of limited cash as those guys are not good enough to get them promoted even without the -10 that kicks in when a new owner arrives. It's just burning limited money whilst Birch tries to conjure up a new buyer and the PST try to conjure up enough funds. They're doomed.

The Dandy is about to print its last edition in December but is hinting that it will take the comic online. Apparently they only sell 8,000 copies nowadays. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-tayside-central-19284222 I never read the Dandy much, being more engrossed with the Beano. Comics I also read when a bit older were: Scoop - great footie comic Bullet - good war comic 2000AD - great sci-fi
