Colin: No. The deal is to buy the club from PKF, so the terms of that deal need to be known before it can be completed. I'd say March 1 is a realistic target date, but hopefully sooner. Ho hum...

We must support the new manager who may well be a success. I guess it's an irony that Cortese was forced to act now with only two weeks of the January transfer window left. He must have been hoping that Nigel would lose a couple of games and make it easier to replace him with MP. That's a moral victory at least for Nigel.

Tesco have a massive land bank so I agree with the comment by Gemmel. It's probably of interest but not a priority. On the wider perspective, I'm perplexed at how and why the PST say they are going to buy FP on two points. The first is where is the money coming from obviously, the second is why make statements like that before the court case? It just seems detrimental to their cause.

So it looks like the talks last week with the Council came to zilch as expected.

Very much doubt that. It's PKF playing for more time as they can't get a deal amongst their own fixed that will stand up to scrutiny.

I realise that not much is likely to happen at the High Court tomorrow but it's still interesting to note the pST's silence this time around. Before the last scheduled court date, they were 'giving it large' and proclaiming how they were going to hang Chainrai out to dry etc. Much more circumspect now.

Apparently Gyepes has a gentleman's agreement to stay on. Meaning he can disappear at any moment. He's probably the mainstay that is left in reality. Let's hope he takes a six-month contract with Shrewsbury or Bury!
