  1. Two cows standing in a British field. One says to the other: "Bloody foreign horses coming over here and taking our jobs."
  2. And that is the important point.
  3. A lovely bloke.

  6. To stay in L1 last season required 50 points. So the Skates are likely to require about 27 points from 13 games even without the -10 deduction. Looks very remote. 7 wins and 6 draws and no losses needed.
  7. New players take time to gel.
  8. Southampton FC Perfect Day
  9. This one has been fairly useless. More reactionary than other recent ones when the Catholic church needs to modernise.
  10. 1,300 sold out. Last hurrah.
  11. Superb!
  12. I am relying on the judge to finish it.
  13. Obviously the PST want to do that as they have no cash to cover the commitments. That those were PPs earmarked to pay off expensive players dropping from the Prem has no matter! The latest increase to £3m on the FP offer is just a small sight of that. I hope the former Pompey players say eff off for once and for all. I think Richard Hughes was meant to be representing them collectively. Hope he tells their lawyer to hold the line.
  14. It's incredibly rare that a judge with commercial knowledge makes such a blunder. Most judges are ex QCs and know the score very well.
  15. It wouldn't surprise me if Pompey have used up the standard loans but I imagine many of the loans are emergency ones. I'm buggered if I understand the difference between standard loans and emergency loans though. Some investigation would be good, anyone? I wouldn't want Pompey breaking yet more rules!!
  16. Have to agree. Gives you a pretty accurate opinion of a person's attitude and mindset. Sort it out Jose!
  17. pKF are still up a Gumtree with the court case as port pin can now demonstrate someone else was prepared to pay more than the PST.
  18. An interesting issue now will be how PKF and the PST can work together. Limited time, potentially a number of court cases, PKF don't believe in the PST bid and the PST will feel they have been stabbed in the back by Birch after today. Zero trust all around.
  19. Blimey O'Riley. You turn away for 30 minutes and all hell breaks loose.
  20. My view is that if the deal goes through they start again next season in L2 which they should have enough finance to get out of quite rapidly. After that it gets tough again as their gates won't support a charge up the leagues so they'll end up like Coventry milling around L1 as they start to get squeezed again financially. But Coventry have infrastructure and Pompey don't so they are still not a good proposition to sell on really.
  21. Added to which it appears to be the case that whilst PKF was double dealing and calling adjournments to allow Harris to structure his bid they were happily taking money from the HNWs knowing that they were going to pull the rug from under the feet of the HNWs and leave them high and dry having parted with their money. The HNWs have made the Harris deal possible!
  22. From the PST: PST can assure its supporters that its bid to buy Portsmouth Football Club is fully funded, ready to go and offers the best option for the creditors and for the long-term security of the club. In addition PST can reveal we increased its bid for Fratton Park earlier this week to make our package even more attractive. Our bid has the backing of several thousand Pompey fans, who have supported us by pledging to buy community shares, either individually or in syndicates. In addition our partner high net worth investors have kept the club alive by underwriting any trading losses of the club through the autumn. We have also been finalising negotiations with our property partner over access and parking to the stadium, once we takeover. We have the backing of our local MPs increasesnd Portsmouth City Council. At a national level, the Department of Culture Media and Sport has recognised the merit of our bid and we have also been supported in the House of Commons by a Government Minister. Supporters Direct are also fully behind our attempt to once and for all draw a line under the past problems at the club. We have been made aware of a rival bid, but at the moment there is precious little detail about it. It is imperative that there is full disclosure about the funding and terms of any other bid for the club. As a trust we have been transparent about how our bid has been funded and structured. Fans and the wider football family and our community stakeholders can be assured we have the best interests of Portsmouth FC at heart. We look forward to taking our bid forward in the very near future. lolicious!!
  23. Excellent civil war about to break out!
  24. 7 February 2013: Trevor Birch, PKF partner and joint administrator of Portsmouth Football Club (2010) Ltd, said: “We can confirm that we have received another offer for Portsmouth Football Club. This offer has been made by Keith Harris, a former chairman of the Football League, together with Pascal Najadi, deputy chairman of the investment bank AIAK Group, and Alan Hitchins, a professional investor. Keith Harris has indicated that he would like to meet with the PST to discuss a stakeholding and participation in the club going forward. “We believe this offer is worthy of consideration and could be completed without the need for a court case. “As officers of the Court, the administrators are charged with securing the best return for all creditors and therefore have to consider the offer. “We will need to discuss the terms of the deal with the PFA and the Football League, and also plan to consult the Creditors’ Committee as a matter of urgency. “This has been a complex administration and we are doing all we can to resolve the situation as quickly as possible. We will provide an update as soon as we have further news.”
  25. From Micah Hall: Belbin the how began putting their money in on October 18th and stopped on Jan 7th. PKF released the players THEY SIGNED and brought the club back to break even. They did so because they were talking to portpin about another bid - hence the adjournments. PST bid is on the table - money in escrow. And now mr Harris wants to ram to the trust about us using that money to help fund his lease scheme - so can we use fans money to pay Chainrai an uneconomic rent so he can own the stadium and Harris can own the club? Think the word is NO.
