That's very useful info Badger. So they had two Championship seasons, this season in L1 and next season in L2 for PPs. The amount has presumably gone up for the last payments for next season because the PL has negotiated larger sums of TV rights money and Portsmouth benefit to the tune of £4m. That's a very lucky break for them although it just goes to pay off debts so doesn't help them next season if they make it that far.
-
Where have the additional £4m PPs come from? Has the PL increased the amount paid to all recently relegated clubs as a result of its new TV deals?

Double post.

It's not a sub-committee. It's the cabinet who have responsibility for approving finance. Think of it as the government and Parliament. The full council could do a vote of no confidence but it won't happen.
-
Nine councillors out of a total of 42. But it is an executive decision as to do with funds. Nevertheless, other councillors including Ferrett could have called for a wider council vote to back or oppose the executive decision to make a point. I presume there wasn't enough stomach for a civil war.

Interesting piece from the BBC website about the local campaign. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-21544685

There's the rub. Portpin see it differently and will pay lawyers to argue that case. I don't mind at all who wins. It spins the game out longer, wastes more money all around and time is of the essence.
-
Don't agree. The time frames are too tight. This is an attempt by Portpin to force PKF and the FL to the table IMO on the basis that legal action will hold up the PST bid beyond the end of the season.

She's the idiot who did that fawning interview with Roman Dubov, talking about the plush offices in London and how his wealth would solve Portsmouth's problems for good.

Top post by Walksa on the News. Although I think he's new poster so expect him to get hammered by the normal clots on there.

I'm assuming that if the proposed new housing is as many as 1,400 that this is land that has been allocated for housing in the local authority core plan though?
-
That's what I understand also. The judge can rule that an independent valuation can be set for the ground to be sold but that can be challenged on principle. Which presumably Chinny would do if he felt it was too low and the value of his outstanding charge on the ground had been ignored. I.e. you can't flog what is not entirely yours to sell regardless of the market value. It's like trying to sell a car that is worth £3K for £3k irrespective of the fact there is an outstanding and unpaid hire purchase arrangement on it. The judge may rule the car is worth £3K but that's about it. As far as I can work out anyway!!
-
Out of interest what are the potential issues that the new housing proposal causes that makes you a self-admitted NIMBY? It's an area I work in, albeit not near Eastleigh. I'm always interested in local view points about proposed new developments.
-
I'd say there's no doubt that they can appeal a High Court decision that goes against them. That's a right available in almost all civil cases. In fact above the High Court, there is the Appeal Court and the Supreme Court. Portpin can play this out for ages. http://www.supremecourt.gov.uk/about/role-of-the-supreme-court.html
-
That was my initial take also. I think they'd love to be able to deal with Harris. Must make for an uncomfortable relationship between PKF and PST.

42 is indeed the right answer!
