http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38414374 Mourinho happy to let MS move on for about £13m. West Brom and Everton interested. Would he be any good to us now?

Comedy Allen's latest mangling of language: And so Fratton Park has toasted the end to 2016. As a farewell it was disappointingly low key, champagne flutes tossed away in favour of plastic beakers containing tap water. Raised skywards in acknowledgement at the passing of another year, yet hesitant to predict a more yielding 2017. Trevor Carson was the unwanted guest, goading others by refusing the leave the party as he noisily munched on Scotch eggs. So the third placed team have an average of 2 points per game and are 7 points ahead. Therefore it is a probability that the Skates need to win their next 7 games on the trot to regain an automatic promotion place. Likelihood of that is far less than Cookie getting the sack in the NY. But I recall that McInnes said he would "eat his hat" if Cookie failed to gain them promotion. I'm wondering what type of hat McInnes wears... Photoshop as required!

Blargh alert! Comical Allen outdoes himself with saccharin cloying article about band of brothers who saved the skates. Utter puke! http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/football/pompey/the-band-of-brothers-who-foiled-pompey-s-liquidation-1-7725294

Worth every penny. Where else does geography slam a door?

Don't forget to buy Comical Allen's literary blockbuster this Xmas - http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/football/pompey/ideal-pompey-christmas-present-in-shops-1-7715496

Day off for the Skates. Is it an international break? Nope, they were knocked out of the 1st round of the FA Cup.
-
couple of points chucked away today at Cheltenham. Careless.
-
That'll make them popular with the FA. Great tactic by the buffoons running the club.
-
Eastleigh are mugs getting through to the next round of the cup tonight.

Looks like this referee has not been bowled over by the immensity of the occasion officiating at Fratton Park. He's rightly awarded Pompey a penalty and rightly sent off one of the filthy Mansfield players.

Pravda reporting they can be an "unbeatable force". http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/football/pompey/talbot-pompey-can-become-unbeatable-force-1-7675448

We know their finances are still in trouble and won't improve while the PST contributes next to nothing and deters other investment. Perhaps breaking point is close again.

The reporting for the News this weekend has been done by a guy called Howard Frost. Much higher quality than usual as it gets rid of the hysterical nonsense written by Comical Allen and his sidekick monkey Jordan Cross. Perhaps there is a rethink going on at the News?

06/11/2016 11:19 AM CET PompeyBanana The problem is we are a big club for the bottom two divisions, in a nice sunny location in the south and players coming down here from the north, particularly those in their final years on fat contracts, think they've won the football equivalent of the lottery and start behaving like big time charlies. We just have too many of those jokers and they are not hungry enough. Get someone in to kick their arses or ease them out. Cook can't do it because he has won the biggest lottery prize and signed all of them. Read more at: http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/football/pompey/pompey-dumped-out-of-the-cup-1-7664909

It's the obsession of a ground the same size or larger than St Mary's which is so funny. No room for it, no money for it, no fans to fill it, no need for it.
-
Also be funny to remind that plank who was going on about Saints plastic fans after the Subderland evening EFL game crowd of 21000 of today's Saturday crowd at Fratton of 8000.
-
Well, that makes Cook's comments about looking forward to a 3rd round tie against top flight opposition look a bit daft.
-
It would be nice to see on loan Saints player Dominic Gape score for Wycombe and put Portsmouth out of the cup.
-
Possibly the greatest 1-0 thrashing in the history of football.

16th slowest prem player according to a Telegraph piece today - top 20 slowest players.

Oh dear oh dear oh dear... Pompeyinsurrey No surprises at all today, that was exactly what I'd expect from Paul Cook. Yes we had bad decisions go against us but that doesn't hide the fact that Cook is an utterly useless scouse tw of the highest order. 5 defeats now, dreadful stuff today and Cook is a dead man walking. JUST CLEAR YOUR DESK AND F OFF NOW YOU TOTAL NOB, you can't motivate what is actually the best squad on paper in the division to consistent performances and it is so obvious. Plymouth by comparison have an average team but a superb manager who will nearly always get 100 per cent of every player most matches, no wonder they've won the league. Cook is just a ct who should have gone I thought after the Doncaster game. I was actually disappointed in a way that we got fairly decent results in the last 2 games as it meant he prolonged his time here. I actually couldn't care less now what happens this season, Paul Cook has destroyed any hope of promotion and the only chance of play off success is to kick the scouse ct out along with Smith and Forde. Catlin in running for CEO of the year in some tinpot magazine according to our favourite propaganda man Neil Allen. What has Catlin done to deserve this award I wonder: * failed to get Pomey promoted in three attempts despite being "large club" * blown Tesco cash on journeymen * blown £950k transfer cash (Wallace and the defender sold to Ipswich) on journeymen * spent almost nothing on improving infrastructure (except a gravel car park and championship standard flood lights) * failed to resolve the Trust ownership stalemate that prevents any new injection of outside funding * defended the footballing status quo against innovation Give the man the gong. Fully deserved.

Maybe the NY Cosmos need an U-23 game...
