Tesco shares 16% down this morning alone as they revise profit estimates to £1.4bn, about half what was expected three months ago. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-30391447

Might create an auction between Inter and Boca Juniors. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2857946/Dani-Osvaldo-wanted-Boca-Juniors-Southampton-striker-impresses-loan-Inter-Milan.html?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490

Big road based plans being announced by the government today so no doubt Penny is talking up the plans to improve the A303.

And they share the plane with fans who have paid additionally for their privilege. That should be fun!

Robbie Savage - Why its time to take Saints seriously
TopGun replied to TopGun's topic in The Saints
It's clear that is was written by Chris Bevan as Professor states. All that happens is that Robbie Savage tells the journo his thoughts and it is written down for him. Nothing new there at all. Same applies to most football ex-player pundits in print. Notable exception of ex Pompey player and current bankrupt David James who does write his pieces for the Guardian and donates the fee to charity. -
I'm getting more right wing as I age... totally in agreement with the comments aimed at Tesco by Greater Manchester Police. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-manchester-30241870

Couldn't happen to a nicer guy!

Long analysis on Saints from the perma-tanned one. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30239777

Presumably meaning if you ain't good enough for the Championship go and get the next best wage at Portsmouth.

A squad of 32 must cause quite a bit of division between those in favour and those not.

First time Saints have started with 11 full international players ever!

If you pull enough levers at random you're sure to hit on a winner occasionly. The question of replicating the formula is quite different.

* So they are supporter owned (less than 50% last time we saw a released figure) * They have no more Cup revenue of any form * They got most of their attendance money upfront some time back by selling season tickets on the cheap But they are debt free (minus those outstanding charges still listed at Companies House against the club). Must be fun now for McInnes and his coterie of HNWs. It's all more sinking fund from this point.

It's incredibly fortunate for Lawro that there is something in his brain that worked instinctively to make him a pretty good centre back because otherwise he'd be shelling peanuts these days rather than making good money out of BBC licence payers to talk unjustified nonsense.

Nice bit of gallows humour from a skate. BLUEMANGROUP 4:36 PM on 20/11/2014 Players and staff from Portsmouth FC visited a local children's hospital recently. "It's nice to put a smile on the faces of those who are worse off than we are and who are facing a long uphill struggle," said David Wilson aged 6.

I hope McInnes doesn't pull the trigger on AA. This is way too much fun and it's unlikely to get better for Pompey under AA.
-
And that's exactly what Liverpool is addressing with its Super Port plans!
-
Agreed. May be the mods should stop it at 99,999 to make sure nobody else inadvertently tips it over.

Interesting tactic from the News reporters. Now that Awford has banned the players from talking post-match drivel with the News for Neil Allen and co to write up for three days after each game, the reporters are scouring the opposition websites for comment instead! Enterprising job protection operation by Allen and the boys... http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/former-england-man-taunted-over-display-1-6422691

Not in la la Island.

I read the Guardian, have a cat and drive an Alfa Romeo! I'm quite well qualified.

Please let it be true!! TATTOOEDBLUE 12:59 PM on 17/11/2014 Anyone else heard the rumour that the players had a big punch up / bust up in the dressing room after the match? Supposedly about Nick Awford being played. Genuine question, not a wind up. PUP. PLAYUPPOMPEYFANJAKE2011 1:06 PM on 17/11/2014 Apparently there was a huge bust up between both the Awford's and Shorey, not sure who/if anyone else was involved.

******** to him. Just a cog in the machine which can be replaced given he was quite new in and came from MK Dons. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30082201

Good to see both CBs on loan to Swindon were involved in the defeat of Bristol City at the weekend which ended a long unbeaten run for Bristol City and established Swindon in second place in League 1. Although I feel the problem for the pair is that the longer we sustain a high league place, the less likely they are to be included in RK's longer term plans. Arguably perhaps neither is as good as Calum Chambers, Chambers being slightly younger but partly established himself last year at RB in the Saints side? Any thoughts?

Andy Awful has banned his players from speaking to Mr Allen and co at the News http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/awford-demands-pompey-actions-not-words-1-6420912
