The Icelandic feller wants £250m for West Ham. He bought them two years ago for £85m in the good times and has injected £30m FFS. Mike Ashley has had pretty much no interest at about £350-£400m for Newcastle. He also bought for far less. Pompey can't be sold at a price of £1 plus about £35m debts (though I suppose sale of Diarra might bring that down a bit). What are these owners on? Can we all have some?

I'm sure there are a few people here who have investments under fund management. Not good at the moment when the former head of the NASDAQ looks like he is a top pyramid seller. It's worrying when it seems that institutions have just piled investment cash in because it seemed ok. A big funnel.

The problem is we seem to be shell shocked very easily at the start of a game and that's getting worse so our season could get worse. Hard getting to grips with the opposition after conceding two or more early goals.

Unfortunately TDD, much as I like you, you seem incapable of getting past Good Old Blighty and the Empire in any of your posts on the Lounge. I am convinced that your staunch if simplistic world views make you an excellent employee of the RN though. When you're not wasting taxpayers money all day long on here or watching Jeremy Kyle of course.

Well, I obviously wouldn't have said that after Bush's victories at the polls although it's fair to say that if I were a US citizen in 2000 or 2004 I would have voted for the Dems. C'mon TDD, give me some credit at arguing a rational case! And if you want to raise the Florida 2000 issue, then yes, I believe the election was flawed, but ultimately I, along with the vast majority of others and the various US courts, accepted the final ruling. That was a situation that had far more potential to cause a constitutional crisis than anything George bangs on about infinitum.
