Saints Greatest XI - Nominations For Best left Side Striker
TopGun replied to St Landrew's topic in Golden Posts
I'll go with Ron too. But I hope Steve Moran gets the B spot alongside KK because they ripped defences apart with speed and subtle play. Ron was reliant on supply. -
****ing disasterous result though JP can only play with the cards he has. Yet again, the need for a proper striker.

How many pairs do you own that you can trace and put together? Can socks be worn for two days or more? What colours are acceptable? What happens to your old socks? This is a survey on behalf of Save Our Socks, a registered charity that collects socks to help deprived people in East Hampshire.

Is this now a single transferable vote or a list voting system? Ron Davies. -
Try playing R&B music loudly with the window down at traffic lights. To get the full effect from pedestrians you need to ensure your head is shaved beneath the baseball cap. Add a grimace and draw some zits on your face and you're good to roll.

Good to know christianity is alive and well at the Portswood bus depot!

I have 100% Celtic blood to my knowledge and was born in Wales. So in fact I am the Briton who inhabited the land before the English. In King Arthur's supposed time (c. AD 400-600) etc before the Anglo Saxon invasions everyone in early Southampton would have spoken Latin (if posh) or Brython (if poor), an early variant of Welsh. So get out of my land! (BNP - Brythonic National Party) Not sure Stanley would agree!

This is me too. So I guess it must be fast. Maybe 2-3 minutes from deliberate shut-eye? I think my brain shuts down instantly if nothing to think about too much. It's far worse when I go to bed really late (maybe a bit ****ed) but know I have to be up again in a few hours on a school day. Then it's hard to go to sleep as I am thinking about it and the alarm clock.

Being used as massive PR spin by NY mayor... Can't blame him, NY pulling together etc. Pilot already has the "Keys to NY" etc, if the insurance don't pay US Airways for the aircraft hull loss, I'm sure the Fed govt or the NY govt will be happy to cough for the A320! Propaganda coup in many ways.

Which is why it might be considered fag packet policies! If that figure makes provision for all houses to have PV and solar heating roof panel grants (only thing I can think of) then why not make the commitment without the figure? That commitment alone, if put into practice by a Tory government, would drive down the cost of manufacturing and installing solar equipment significantly below £6,000.

To announce their low carbon plans later. Expected to include a pledge of £6,500 for each household for better insulation etc and a plan to modernise the National Grid to make better use of available power. The Grid plan is a good one. I am aware of one recently announced new power station that has already been privately cancelled because of poor grid connections in the area and a very distant date to improve the connection from NG. However, easy to make promises on the back of a fag packet. The Tory alternatives to Heathrow for example are fairly ludicrous.

Incidents like this raise questions about "two engines over water", especially for transatlantic aircraft like the 767. I think I would feel more comfortable with four engines on a long haul flight.
-
Very lucky. Fair play to the pilot I reckon, for a controlled crash onto water.

If planning is underway it's difficult to halt it on party political reasons as that step has already been. Open to all sorts of legal challenges. Not sure Cameron and Boris have understood that. Also you have to question some of the emotive comments being made in the press such as the following on the BBC: 'Greenpeace director John Sauven said: "If Gordon Brown thinks this is a green runway then he must be colour-blind. This package is designed to patch up a cabinet split and will do very little to reduce the huge environmental impact of an expanded Heathrow, which will now become the single biggest emitter of carbon-dioxide in the country." ' I'm pretty sure that Drax power station will remain in number one position as biggest emitter, given it burns 10,000 tonnes of coal each day!!!
-
Not really. That completely ignores the planning considerations of Thames Estuary which will be more complex than a third runway because of added enviro issues such as areas of SSI and wading birds etc. Also far more costly to develop suitable foundations and then build a whole new infrastructure. And would require significant extra ATM issues.

Ah, I forgot the multipack boxers, 30" waist... :smt012

Good set of Heathrow expansion graphics. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/7722164.stm

Blimey. Most I have ever had is £1.2m.

I knocked a tin of black airfix paint all over my complete Football 77 album. Arsenal and Aston Villa were wiped out and Birmingham City wasn't clever either. Was gutted.

We all get crap from relatives. This year I got a huge Homer Simpson bottle opener which would never fit in any kitchen drawer. I used it for the first time earlier tonight and it fell apart. Rubbish plastic etc with a big Homer face to sell it. What a crock of sh!t that was. I'll tell my aunt to get me more French porn vids next year.

So, Stanley... let's just recap. Britain is down the pan because of Gordon Brown's Labour. But you don't call for the Tories either. Am I missing something meaningful? [not one for a Lib Dem shout Bungle] At least most of the people here have an idea of what they think may be good or not. You seem to have the cognitive and debating ability of a middle school kid aged about 10. Where are your solutions Stanley?

It's like trying to debate with Violet Elizabeth Bott. :smt078

I don't know, I expect he has aspirations.
-
Quite right. Gore had a good campaign really. Kerry was a bit pathetic. Still, good riddance to bad rubbish with Dubya.
-
It might do in the same way that Aston Villa are having a good time. But would you expect Aston Villa to seriously challenge Man U, Liverpool and Chelsea [actually Chelsea are a blip cos of Abramovitch] overall apart from blips? Don't get me wrong, the £ could trot along like Everton but will always lose out to the bigger boys in the long term. The dynamics have altered. I'm suggesting that Everton teams up with Liverpool (€) for our term greater benefit.
