Just the 11 separate articles in the News about the mighty victory over Plymouth! http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/fratton-latest

2-1 to the skates but every cloud has a silver lining as it's sure to add to the indecision about Awford's future.
-
Well, seventh place looks like 73 points. Pompey can only make 68 at max.

Catlin trying to let the fans down gently that there's no new stand in the offing and the supermarket money won' t go very far...

Pompey can make the playoffs if they win the last seven games...

Shrewsbury one goal up!

There's a number of them suggesting that Nigel Adkins should replace Awford. He'd probably do a good job too. But I'm pretty sure Pompey couldn't afford Adkins and I'm also fairly sure that there will be a queue of Championship and L1 clubs who will approach him in the summer too.

Have to say Micah does still seem unbalanced. Threats of revenge on Twitter ain't the sign of a healthy psyche.

The peasants are revolting again. Awford out!
-
Fulltime. Just a shame the likes of Stevenage are doing their best to give Pompey hope still!

This interview with Awford is worth a look for the lack of production values alone by the Snooze. Just love the hanging open meter behind Awford. Surely somebody can at least check the background before they do these things. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/pompey-await-extent-of-whatmough-blow-1-6644479

Latest forecast for playoffs is still 71 points. So they need 7 wins and 1 draw from 9 games.

Losing 1-2 at home having scored first.

Mick Williams goes online to rebut Mike Saunders' comment that MW was resigning due to ill health or pressure from his wife. Nice little public ding dong between the two. OldSpice Posted on 15/03/2015 12:02 SAVE OUR MICK - Should the Trust call an EGM Report Message | Email Message To A Friend | Reply To Message I have NOT resigned from the PST board due to ill health or any pressure from my wife or anyone else. Sometimes, a man has to stand by his principles even when that stand can have undesired consequences - this whole matter has been one of those times. OldSpice Posted on 15/03/2015 20:29 SAVE OUR MICK - Should the Trust call an EGM Report Message | Email Message To A Friend | Reply To Message Riddle.. Whatever you meant Mike, the inference was that I needed a break for the sake of my health. Nothing could be further from the truth, although I have to say that my PST life has been stressful since November. The 'wife comment' wasn't funny, despite the wink and Ann was also not amused by it! You are right, however, when you say no one should be getting stressed out on PST issues. It is very distressing for me that it should have come to this when there was absolutely no need. You had access to all the information leading to this and contributed to the discussion, so I am disappointed that you claim to not know why I resigned. the_riddle Posted on 16/03/2015 07:04 SAVE OUR MICK - Should the Trust call an EGM Report Message | Email Message To A Friend | Reply To Message How many times do I need to say this... My post does not say Mick was ill, it says I thought he could be making himself ill if he carried on the way he was going as the last time I saw Mick (outside Fratton after the Tranmere game) he looked f*cked off and stressed and it was not nice to see him like that. Mick, you even say yourself you were stressed by all this - so am I not making a fair observation? Likewise the 'wife' comment was a throwaway joke, based on nothing more than thinking your wife might not want you so stressed either. No malice was intended and I apologise if it was taken the wrong way. I'm gutted that a well intentioned post about how PST Board Members only do it as volunteers and shouldn't be so stressed by Pompey issues has been twisted by a few, when the original post is still there, clear as day, not saying what people 'think' it says. As for why Mick resigned, of course I know what the 'matter of principle' is about but I don't know why he felt so strongly that he had to resign over it as for me it is not a resignation issue. Again my posts on here actually say that if people read them. I've not spoken to Mick on the matter and certainly wouldn't speculate on his take on it. Can't believe I'm now being called a 'liar' by some and getting this reaction from a post that was in support of Mick and based on concern for his well being and is being twisted by some who want to read more into what I wrote. Btw - thanks Lor for your post, at least someone's read what I actually wrote and in the manner it was intended.

without minus 10!

Unfortunately I think we have to accept that Pompey have thrown enough money at players to survive this year and possibly still hold a candle for the play-offs. However it only takes a couple of losses and they have no chance of that. On the plus side the resignation of die hard Pompey fan Mick Williams does show that there is plenty of disagreement in the background about how the club is run. I think that was inevitable given the number of chiefs at the Trust and amongst the 11 HNW presidents. Long may that continue.

He's pretty much paid to be a charmless oaf so it's difficult to complain about him bring a charmless oaf.

A good boost for Southampton with the Queen due to name new super cruise ship Britannia in the docks. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-hampshire-31802613 400 cruise ships visiting Southampton each year now. Surely the council can spend some cash now on things to do in the city!

9 wins from 11 needed...
-
So it is now looking like 71 points are required for a playoff spot. Pompey would need 27 points from 36 available. 9 wins from the remaining 12 games would do it!

Fair play to the Skates today. That's a good tonking as predicted by Awford three months ago. Now they'll be going on about play offs again. It's the hope that will kill them.
