Good to see nothing has changed on the transfer front at Pompey as they start to sign a load of former Champ and L1 players in their 30s on three-year contracts again. Seems they are incapable of learning. http://m.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/gary-roberts-on-his-way-to-pompey-1-6801774

In fact following installation of Championship lights the FA should do the right thing and promote them up two leagues before the season starts.

New bogs at Fratton Park! Although hot water will have to wait for the time being... http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/fratton-park-revamp-revealed-1-6792979

Just the council leader Donna Jones trying to score a few points to make up for the Spinnaker Tower decision!!

Chunky43 9:12 AM on 29/05/2015 Well, he'll be used to big crowds from his time at Rangers...

The only people who want 16 year old kids to vote are populists. If you want a country run by populists, go for it. Tony Blair. Best PM since Gladstone.

What I love about Pompey is they are pledging to spend and spend more on players. To get promoted. Forget the infrastructure, forget Fratton Park, forget the lack of training facilities etc... Same old.

I know there is another thread about an EU referendum. But what is a fair deal as Cameron wants within the EU? To me, a lot of this boils down to low level crap about stopping EU immigrants arriving in Britain. Are there wider and bigger arguments about why the UK is getting a raw deal in the EU?

In. But I can see the Tories having a civil war about it like under John Major's government.

I think it's amusing how the Skates are all now saying out with the dead wood and new broom required. Good riddance etc. Up until a week ago had anyone suggested that some of those players should be released they would have gone bananas about it!

In other news, some of the numpties think that Bournemouth will ground share at Nottarf Krap next year. Good lunacy though.

There's no doubt that as I approach my 47th year my facial hair growth is getting more prodigious. I've got no problems with the salt 'n pepper stubble that is developing quite nicely. Clooney-esque in fact. But ears, nostrils and eyebrows are not so good as nobody wants humongous hair dangling from those areas. Trimmers are clearly the answer. Any top tips from older experts about how to keep the unwanted foliage down with the best implements?

Presumably there is back up to ensure that there is a history for the students of 2035?

Personally I hate tossers who talk about "little Bournemouth". It's exactly the same as the skate muppets who go on about Pompey being a big club. BTW if I found out that Essru was my taxi driver I would get out and walk!

Catlin has a great CV: * Director of a 4th division semi-professional Spanish side * Marketing Director of Bury

It appears the floodlights are actually ones that were fitted to the Commonwealth Games stadium as a temporary measure before the ground was readapted for use by Man City so not 1950s but probably not top quality either.

Not surprisingly the post below in the News by somebody called Hironic has not been all received but it made me smile! The people on here who seem to think this is anything unusual, have obviously never been to a game at Fratton Park before. Pompey fans have booed the team off the pitch for as long as I can remember, even the good teams, including our final home game before the 2008 FA Cup Final. Here are just a few of the numerous occasions over the years: "Booing our own players. More deluded self-justification from Saggy Chops today. Plus his usual airbrushing out of time as Saints manager. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/32236284

I'm wondering what clauses exist in the contract that Wallace signed last summer...
