  1. Totally, we started the season with a team that was more than good enough but no surprise that had to be blown up.
  2. As they said on Sky Sports - early season optimism has all but evaporated. No surprise given that the owners once again sold anything that wasn't nailed down and replaced it with crap loan players.
  3. Assume the Russell Martin chants are coming from gloating Ipswich fans given he is ex-Norwich?
  4. Sadly I don't think he is the answer. Needs to go before its too late. Lose to Boro and it gets interesting...what do SR do?
  5. Was our downfall last season as well. Scored a couple of goals at Leicester, just before the window closed, everyone thought we might be OK and then he instantly turned to shit. Same old story this season.
  6. Pleased for the boys, only let in 1 instead of 4 so heading in the right direction.
  7. The fact Sulemana probably thinks he is too good for us is a complete joke.
  8. All over them now but all a bit static in attack.
  9. If he's fit enough to come on at this stage then agreed.
  10. In recent games its descended into being totally toothless in attack whilst simultaneously being wide wide open at the back. Hopeless.
  11. As I said, true to form for Adams post closing of the transfer window.
  12. Charles stepping into midfield to try and fail to win a header shows everything that is wrong with this bullshit set up. Huge hole that KWP had to come over to plug.
  13. And, lo and behold, as soon as he leaves the goals dry up. Genius. Still, at least we got a replacement….
  14. If the team can’t pass then probably makes sense to not play a style which, if and when they do give it away, presents the opportunity with almost open goals.
  15. We tried to be too clever again. Signing players like Holgate and Fraser wreaks of a failed moneyball approach and finding value where others couldn’t see it. Turns out if a player can’t get a game for bottom of the table Everton or doesn’t set foot on the pitch since October 2022 its not because we are seeing something others aren’t its, in fact, just because they are shit.
  16. The other issue is we’ve sold anyone half capable of winning games in this league (Tella, JWP etc.) irrespective of whatever suicidal tactics Martin is employing. We’re now left with a pretty average group of players playing utterly ridiculous tactics. Seems we’ve also fallen for the Che Adams trick of convincing us he’s half decent whilst the transfer window is open before reverting to being anonymous as soon as it closes.
  17. Can’t believe we are at this stage already but I agree. The guy is more likely to take us down than get promoted playing like this. Absolute suicide.
  18. At least the crowd letting Martin know what they think of that. Too right. No more “I’m proud of the players” clap trap. This is just not good enough.
  19. I don’t get how any competent football manager looks at a team sheet with Adam Armstrong and Joe Aribo in the midfield and thinks it’s good enough to win a competitive game. Just insane.
  20. I’m also not sure how we can call the recruitment a success when we’ve left ourselves one injury away from starting Joe f’ing Aribo. The sad thing is we could have been good this year but, as per usual, we’ve decided to be too clever and blown it all up. Ever since Tella left we’ve lost all attacking impetus.
  21. We could honestly be 3-0 down at home to fucking Ipswich.
  22. If this really is what Martin wants then I’m sorry but he has got to go. We’ll be lucky to stay up playing like this.
  23. This is getting ridiculous. Just gifting gilt edged chance after guilt edged chance.
  24. Good god, we look dreadful.
  25. Issue is the way we are set up these errors are far more exposed. We give the ball away and the opposition has a clean run on goal. Is it an individual error? Yes, sure the ball was given away but the fact that some of these errors result in basically free goals is squarely as a result of the tactics.
