  1. The bit about them battering Reading makes absolutely no sense. A Reading win was what we all wanted. West Ham will drop points I think.
  2. Barnsley were quite decent at our place I thought...and everyone wants to beat West Ham at home this season - the most high profile game.
  3. Well we can win all our games meaning they won't win all their games.
  4. Looked a foul by Roberts there too. He really is a dirty player been at it all game
  5. Oh **** off reading. Such a horrible **** club with terrible fans
  6. Commentators so ridiculous - so pro Reading is laughable. How on earth could anyone think that wasn't a foul on the keeper? You clearly can't knee them in the midriff to get them to spill the ball.
  7. Behave.
  8. Are you sure? According to BBC they only make 3 changes and 2 of those are due to suspensions...so don't think the 7 missing players is true at all.
  9. Exactly what I came on this thread to say. I think some people on here are way over reading this apparent 'conspiracy theory'. They've released the news to calm the fans nerves after a heavy defeat last time out and ahead of a game we are all nervous about. Doesn't matter what the Pompey camp know/don't know they have limited resources and the same players would be in the team regardless of who was up front for us. Lets stop over thinking things.
  10. Some people are never happy...I seriously doubt Saints are this elaborate in their mind games. If there hadn't been any news then you'd be saying that was a bad sign and Lambert was definitely out.
  11. As close to definite as you can be, especially with what Solent tweeted. What are you expecting the OS to say? "Rickie Lambert will definitely be in the team on Saturday"? I think they are slightly more tactful than that.
  12. Seriously, what is the point in these ridiculous threads? Are some fans trying to deliberately jinx us? There's a long way to go - and even if we were promoted threads like this are utterly pointless...
  13. They just use it for web browsing, emails and a bit of Picasa photo uploading etc. Nothing major.
  14. The parents are after a new PC as the old one has packed up. Does have any decent desktop recommendations for around £300-400. Wouldn't need a monitor as they already have one. A decent warranty would also be preferable. If anyone has any ideas I'd be grateful, don't really know much about PCs now as have switched to Mac, but think that might be a bit out of their price range.
  15. How are you more worried now than a few weeks ago? We have only been in so strong a position for about a week. We are unbeaten in 11 games, 5 points clear of WHU and Reading with only 6 games to go. They are playing each other at the weekend so any result will disadvantage one of them and thus give us a boost. Blackpool will be tough but we've gotten through tougher games this season. If anything, I'm becoming increasingly more confident about our chances, with every game that goes past it becomes one less game available for us to be caught up. As for knowing the result before kick off, I on the other hand think its great because the players will know what they have to do and will raise their game as they have done so brilliantly this season. Now is not the time for panicking, WHU and Reading would kill to be in our shoes right now.
  16. Not the best result for us but at the end of the day I was expecting WHU to win this one. With reading and WHU playing each other at the weekend we have got an advantage as one of them will drop points. We are still in the driving seat.
  17. Not that I wouldn't have preferred him on the pitch, but arguably we played better once Lambo went off...
  18. Has to be sharp. Was quality today
  19. Werent brilliant today but got the job done. Delighted for sharp and thought he was very good today. Ran around, chased the ball down, got in good positions and two well taken goals. Good that we can win without rickie on the pitch. Two things stood out though, butterfield wasn't great and Richardson is a far better player. Also though SDR was pretty awful, even a half fit Chaplow has to start ahead of him. Steve is fine as an impact sub but never does it from the off. His touch was just awful in the first half.
  20. Well said that man. Whatever anyone's belief a man has miraculously survived a traumatic experience. Who really cares how the people closest to him rationalise it?! Think coyle has handled it brilliantly and should be praised as should everyone else involved. Sure this event carries with it more press coverage but it happened on live tv whilst millions watched. To be expected. The moaning on here is at best unnecessary and at worst completely disrespectful to all those who had far greater a connection and relationship with the guy than anyone on here.
  21. This team is the one I'd go with. Though I'd be sorely to start sdr and go for it from the off!

    Chaplow

What a load of nonsense. At this stage of the season it's about points not performances. And we are doing the business at the moment. As for the squad...if your not happy with the depth or quality of ours then your expectations of a squad for a team in this league are totally unrealistic!
  23. Jeez there really is no pleasing some. If he'd shot and missed you'd be saying he should have passed. He made a good run and had the awareness to cross resulting in a vital pen sparking potentially the most important comeback of the season. But no...not an impact at all. For goodness sake!
  24. Hasn't exactly had a chance to show us what he can do yet has he? Lets not write him off too hastily eh?
  25. 1-0 Saints HT keep it going lads.
