I like to think RM and co. feel they have the tools to talk him round and get him performing. If he is adamant he's 'injured'/doesn't want to be here, ala ABK, then you'd think we'd have tried sending him out on loan to recoup some wages at least/rid him from the dressing room? Also, it always baffles me how often players will, like you say, do the bare minimum and flatter to deceive, but still expect a move to a bigger/better team/league. Not exactly an attractive characteristic, though appreciate it happens all too often.

Yeah Che certainly seems to be the type to just get on with it now the window's closed. Sulemana however gives me the impression that he's less interested in giving it some for us. More than happy to be proved wrong though. He could be a dangerous asset with the right mindset.

There's definitely a fine line like you say. The worry is that we go for a 'lesser' option in order to fall within whatever the transfer kitty is allowing, and ending up with a meh option.

Clubs will likely raise their valuations once we show interest in someone, too, seeing how much we've taken in player sales so far.
