Cant believe that attitude of many posters on here. Almost like they'd be happier if we lost. We're 5th in the league, you'd think we were bottom. 95th minute winner at a side who hadn't lost at home this season.. Give me that any day of the week. COYR!

I think it's takes 5 years off my lifespan everytime I watch Saints, but I'll never complain about a win, especially one away at Stoke in midweek. We should've had at least two more through Stueys header and Sulemana/Mara chances. Stoke threw alot at us and we stood firm, that's not something to turn your nose up at. Onto Rotherham at the weekend, let's make it 3 from 3 and get a feel good factor back.

Has Harwood-Bellis definitely had a medical, as reported yesterday? It's gone eerily quiet on that front.

I know he's not going to play for a month or so, but the way Sunderland fans are losing their minds makes me think we're getting a great deal here. Can score all types of goals. Very promising!

I was hoping for at least one player in today, so I wouldn't be hitting refresh as much tomorrow! So it sounds like we'll get either Harwood-Bellis on loan or Nathan Wood on a permanent. Stewart or Duk/Miovski up top. Paintsil dead in the water and the only other winger were linked with is Zeqiri from Brighton as far as I can see. I still think Sulemana is likely to leave, along with ABK. If we can keep them and also KWP, I'll be very happy.

I reckon the Russell Martin compo fiasco has hindered deals with Swansea massively. In an ideal world I think we'd have taken Piroe and Wood.

Two players who should be more than capable in the Championship, on loan. Not much to get too upset about.

If we go into the season with Adams and Armstrong I'd be happy. I was sceptical when we came down as they're not PL level, but look more than capable in the Championship. Personally I'd get rid of Mara and give Dom his place.

It's been reported that we didn't even send an offer for him. Maybe like others have said, our hands are tied with Che and Tall Paul still on the wage bill.

I can't imagine that Russell didn't want Piroe, why wouldn't you want the guy that scored 40 odd goals in two seasons for you. I can only think this is a Sport Republic choice not to go for him. Resell value etc. Sometimes you have to buy proven players and not think about their potential value in a couple of years.

Interesting that reports state we didn't even bid. I'm sure ITK Monk said he was our top target a couple of weeks ago, not sure what changed.
