Richardson was on the bench when Nugent scored. Harding was playing at right-back.

Hope we see Seaborne again - he was immense at the start of the season.

Saints V Millwall FA Cup Replay Match Thread!

Sounds like a proper old cup match! Anyone know what formation Saints are playing now? -
Reeves has only just turned 20 (just before Christmas). Cork and Martin are about 2 and half years older than him.
-
In case no one knows what he is about - this is an old, but interesting report... http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2006/sep/26/s****horpe

That was one to forget. No passion from any of our player except De Ridder. Awful.

oh. dear.

Agree with this. City were very effective in how they played - they get stuck in, close down and break quickly. Saints struggled to cope for a while and City had more possession than any other team at St Mary's this season, but for all their hard work they only created a few clear chances. Saints had numerous chances to score, but either missed the target or fannied about trying to find the killer pass instead of just shooting.

I would also like to see some cover in centre back. If Fonte or Hooivled get inured we only have Martin and Cork (who would be wasted in centre back) to cover as I assume Seaborne and Jaidi are still not fit?

I think QPR and Norwich both lost 4 away from home last season? http://www.statto.com/football/stats/england/league-championship/2010-2011/table
-
I know it is obvious, but if we want an automatic spot we really need to up our away form, as we can't just rely on our home form. We have lost 4 away games so far which I think is as many Norwich and QPR lost by the end of last season.
-
Would we have still signed Cork if Gobern stayed with us?
-
Hate to sound arrogant but we barely got out of first gear for that one, and nor did we need to. Fairly disappointed with Palace, as I was expecting a bit more from their attackers. Cork was MOM for me.

It's heart warming at this time of year to know that even Dune supports worker co-operatives.
-
Yeah - in L1 they got away with their antics and it won them a lot of games - they got gamesmanship down to a fine art, but they aren't getting everything their own way in the Championship.
-
Me too! Ours is already 2 days overdue - I so wanted to be at the match, but have to settle for the pub and being "on call".
-
West Ham are not a big club and certainly not "far bigger" that Saints.

I'm really looking forward to this game as well, but have a bad feeling that Allardyce will set his side up to stop us playing and it will be like some of those games in the last two seasons where teams set themselves up to prevent our passing game. Bad to watch and frustrating for the crowd, but typical Allardyce. Hope I'm wrong, but at least we have good experience in breaking down sides.
-
It was good to come back from a goal down but Bad to let such a soft goal in so early though. Did Richardson pick up an injury? Is so that could be a problem with Lallana also out. Happy enough I suppose with a draw and the lads never gave up - Derby are a very fit team, but if we want an auto spot, we need to start winning away from home.

As a non-partisan reader of this argument, I think MLG is the winner and egg, CB Fry and ericb are the losers. Hope that helps.

Increase in wages might be covered by the sponsorship deal we have this year (last year the club decided not to have any sponsorship), so that income stream is new and there is better television revenue in the Championship.
-
Still a brilliant start to the season, but why do we always seem to get punished when we make mistakes? I can't remember Saints getting a goal from an opposition mistake for ages. Just for info - at the same point last season QPR had 23 points and Norwich had 16.
