How do they have £11.5m in debtors? Is that the fan's pledges or their parachutes? If those debtors can't be quickly turned to cash they only have £2.8m in the bank to cover over £10m current debt. Also negative assets (goodwill?) on the balance sheet? Is that right?

Is this a grant? The article says BPL has asked clubs to allocate £200k for away fans - this sounds like asking clubs to ring-fence some of their existing budget for away fans.

SAINTS 0-3 West Bromwich Albion // Post-Match Reaction
Elmore replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
The worst home performance since Leiberrs took over. West Brom came with a game plan which they managed to work to perfection. Brom were utter ****e, timewasting from 6 minutes onward. But we made them look good. -

Has anyone seen this before? It seems Saints aren't the only club to have banned Neil Allen.. http://www.markpack.org.uk/6310/when-is-it-ok-to-ban-a-journalist/

McDermott and Le Fondre get Manager/player of the month
Elmore replied to Thedelldays's topic in The Saints
It surprises me that Le Fondre doesn't get many minutes on the pitch - he has a great knack of scoring important goals, but I wonder why McDermott puts him on the bench. He also reminds me a bit of Jan Aage Fjortoft in that he too had a great knack of scoring important and sometimes sensational goals in a relegation threatened team. -
Espanyol FC Forums Interesting Saints related reading
Elmore replied to Silvercherry Saint's topic in The Saints
I was reading up on Pochettino as I know nothing about him. Interestingly this article (Dec 2012) says that Espanyol’s cantera (youth team) was “sorely under-used by Pochettino”. http://elcentrocampista.com/2012/12/mission-impossible-can-javier-aguirre-rejuvenate-post-pochettino-espanyol/ However this article (Jan 2011) says Espanyol had a “flourishing youth policy “ under Pochettino... the last ten paragraphs are worth reading. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog/2011/jan/17/espanyol-la-liga-sid-lowe -
Who did you contact? Alpine_Periquito?

That's right - well done. It's also 2013 and I had an egg for breakfast this morning.

This is a really sh*tty way to treat Adkins, Crosby, Wilkins, Stannard and us fans.
-
Frankly I'm amazed we came back away from home and got a point. Well deserved. How fast was that shot by Gaston I wonder - hard enough to get in here? http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2007/feb/14/theknowledge.sport

Game stops as soon as we finally get a bit of pressure and play.

One nil away from home. Game over.

The sight of the guffawing millionaires opposite, laughing at what they have done turned my stomach.
-
In the end the performance from the officials in that match was so poor it was almost comical. They were an entertainment in their own right.
-
Don't think it will matter tbh as a completely different team will start against WBA on Monday.

"Number 13 - Reading fans". Lol. Surprised the skates don't do that as well.

Gazza has bags of potential, but he would not be my first choice between the sticks in this relegation battle of a season we are in. He has only 20 professional games under his belt (at league one level) plus a couple for us this season. Compare that to Boruc's 200+ for Celtic and Fiorentina and Kelvin's many seasons as first choice keeper for us, Sunderland Ipswich etc.

Wasn't Terry Hurlock supposed to have been a slightly eccentric character?
-
That was pretty good. He is probably sick to death of answering the same questions and thought "that'll shut them up!"
-
Yes several times. Thanks for the enquiry.
-
Oh yes - and now I remember Bale wasn't an instant hit either was he? I remember some Spuds fans at work telling me how cr*p he was - they thought he was a Jonah as he wasn't in a winning Spurs side for about a whole season.
-
If he is fit, I wouldn't mid seeing Shaw at left back. Our defence can't really get much worse can it? Wasn't Bale the same age as Shaw when he started playing for Spurs?
