Over 3,500 travelling fans, we score and they put the cameras on 3 old dears with empty seats around them - everyone's taking the piss aint' they...
-
Me too But tbh, I've got nothing against the fella really, can't blame him for taking the job when offered, just completely the wrong choice in our position
-
Just watched it, damning indeed. I don't think I've ever heard a manager being so damning of one of his peers, and as Dossie points out about knowing your 'level', very damning coming from someone at a lower level of management than Jones. He came across more as a disgruntled fan, I agree with everything he's said but still a little surprised he was so open as a fellow manager. But his concerns are our concerns and this club is in trouble.

We could certainly do with a few more out there

Around 30,000 ‘sold’ but, as suggested, there’ll be a number of ST no-shows all things considered. This game should get the blood pumping but watching us for some time now has all the appeal of a kick to the bollocks.

I have it on good authority that Ralph's pay out was 10 mi.......oh fuck, someone's already done it... Just had a little snoop around and yes they're understandably up for this after Chelsea and see us as a fragile and there for the taking. It's also being billed on one of their forums as "The seasons ultimate grudge match (Part 1)" have they got something against Corporal Jones? Don't think there's any history between us really.
-
I think they've only picked up a couple of points on the road so we really need to be getting something out of this fixture but feel it's a point at best for us. They'll see this as real possibility for a first PL away win, 3k of their fans will be expectant and well up for it and as usual dominate the support inside St Mary's. Could be a long night.

Göztepe President Rasmus Ankersen: “As the Sport Republic company, we first acquired Southampton. Göztepe is a bigger club than Southampton. We started from a small club and moved on to a big club.” He's trying to prove he's right, ain't he?

...and that's another weekend we've fucked for Semmens, he could have been at home enjoying some family time. Not fair.

Reggie, meet Warren… https://www.saintsweb.co.uk/topic/59772-fulham-ticket-available/

Tbf, we've had quite a few 'famous' fans over the years...
-
I wouldn't think the boss will be that looking forward to this after his last visit to Craven Cottage back in May...

Excellent work rallyboy - season’s greetings

As you say, simple to do, and would at least hamper their chances of buying again that way. The DE also reporting that the club are looking to introduce safe standing during the summer for next season and looking at the entire Northam end. That's great, especially if they're looking to give more of the Northam to home fans but there's still the prospect of most if not all going to away fans if they take a full FA Cup allocation. https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/23211571.southampton-fc-hoping-implement-safe-standing-upcoming-summer/

Looks like last night hasn’t put everyone off - sold out, ticket exchange open. Live on Amazon Prime for those not making it.

And had a enthusiastic and supportive crowd behind them, lethargy was in abundance in the home stands too https://www.skysports.com/watch/video/12772240/southampton-2-1-lincoln

NJ said before the game it may not be pretty, when we started with 3 CBs at home against a L1 side I think he was more concerned with not getting off to a moral-crushing first game defeat. Thought there'd be a bit of a buzz about the place, it was flat in the stands too. A small band of travelling supporters dominate the atmosphere as usual, the only time the volume raised slightly was a couple of "who are ya" after we scored and the bizarre "you fat bastard". Should have given it a skip, a few hours of my life I'll never get back.

Weather looking good for a game of football tomorrow, dry all day, 12 degrees and doesn't go below 9 throughout the night. Should get a decent walk-up and push 20,000.
-
With less than a week to go, only around 15,000 sold so far. Should get a late squirt on tickets but looking like a lower attendance to what I thought we'd see. Corner blocks are closed down the Chapel, Lincoln have sold 1,500.

I can understand the reasoning behind this rearrangement yet 4 other EFL Cup ties scheduled for the Wednesday appear to be still going ahead as planned. And I believe there’s also a nurses strike set for the Tuesday so that could pose its own similar issues. I can make Tuesday or Wednesday so little upheaval for me, but a right ballsache for those travelling.

I’d be onboard with Poch.

They really haven’t thought this through, have they…almost like they’re willing something to happen.

I've no desire to look at the video, terrible injury and can only hope he recovers well - not always the case. I'm a Broja fan and held hope of getting him back on loan but will just be good to see him back playing now. Hopefully hasn't set Livramento's mental recovery back, which can be an issue with these injuries, ex-team mate both here and at Chelsea, likely to remain in contact. Best wishes Armando.

That's most of their home crowd - big day out for the little'uns
