Southampton 0-1 Newcastle League Cup Semi Final 1st Leg

Hello SheffieldGeordie, about 1,200. Mostly in the family centre, that rules them out...unless you're all kids...but a couple of hundred on general sale in the Chapel. -

I stand corrected, didn't realise L7N was a single row of seats! So those 4 blocks must each hold around 700. The extra allocation must be L7H and part of L7F (with segregation). -

Looks like your screenshot has missed off one block, L7N at the furthest right, which would make up the initial 2,800 allocation. Block L7H will probably remain an empty segregation area if we don't take the extra, if we do it should stretch round the corner into L7F. If General Sale doesn't move quickly they'll likely not request further tickets but hopefully they negotiate and put L7H (the last block before it goes round the corner) on sale if a positive result Tuesday, that would make a 3,400 allocation. -

But sensible as would mean those getting first dibs on tickets don't get shoved right at the end but get a shot at the better placed seats, which ain't usually the case. But, I guess, if they put L7H on sale first, no difference! -
Aha, good point, well made.

Southampton 0-1 Newcastle League Cup Semi Final 1st Leg

I've travelled away on a coach about twice since doing a few trips on the Foley buses back in the early 80s, not something I favour. The last time was a few years back for a game oop north when we had no option but the 'Travel Club' would be a step too far - we used Southampton Away Travel and it was probably as good as it gets in the circumstances. https://southamptonawaytravel.co.uk/cup-fixtures/carabao-cup/newcastle/ -

The problem here is, arguably your most loyal supporters dip out despite having first grab at tickets, when the home club make you sell from the corner of the allocation first. Later buying windows offer the better seats to fans who are probably less deserving. Some may take a chance and wait but in this case waiting may see tickets returned as it would look like sales are slow - the club should be allowed to at least sell from a more central point back to the corner that’s guaranteed away seats. -

They've only been given the 3,200 allocation for St Mary's. Maybe a bit of belief has returned after an upturn over the past week, another committed show this weekend (and hopefully more points on the board) will see fans returning with a renewed buzz. -
Is no one going to change the thread title or am I missing the 'joke' ?

Just so people know if considering flying, the airport is a few miles north of Newcastle, about a 7 mile taxi trip (15 mile if they know you're a Saints fan) to St James' Park or train takes about half an hour to the city centre or stadium. -
It's Everton fans, not Saints fans - they were founded in 1878

Saints 2-0 Man City - The Treble is STILL on!

If they’ve got any sense they will have the pitch sprinklers on full to go with the deluge currently flooding Southampton and get this nightmare called off!! -
Of course, the way it should be at St Mary's is this and make it safe standing from blocks 37-48 (we'll give aways a little bit). But only bugger is, the club won't give up KIngsland 'Centre' seats to aways at just £30 when they can rinse home fans for double that - plus their knees would quickly buckle once the Police tell them they can't do it. It would also mean giving up blocks 40-42 for cup matches (until...cough...tongue-in-cheek...we stick another tier above the KIngsland and stick them up there) and they'd have to give the railway bridge to visitors and then turn right for the coaches - personally, I'd force them park out by the motorway and make them walk along the train tracks.
-
The club always trot that one out when this issue is raised, if that’s the case then why don’t the same Hants Constabulary dictate to the skates that away fans there should be put in the fratton end? That stand has easier and safer access and the train station is that end of their ground.

That was also only ever worn with blue shorts and socks originally
-
After a mixture of initially the sash in 1885, then right and white quarters and next red and white halves we changed to stripes to go with the blue shorts and socks in 1896 and that was to become the traditional kit until the 50s. The kit doesn't overly bother me, not crazy on stripes but every other season seems OK to me but maybe time for a blast from the past.

We had them home (think this round) on the way to winning the trophy in '76. Just saying...

They're not so keen to shout about them all of course...

After Wednesday night I was intending to leave the country and find nice dark cave to bed down in for a week or so but after today’s upturn and the prospect of Oršić showing up I’m feeling slightly more comfortable and almost warming to this now. Probably won’t last! -
