  1. Their gap-toothiest of fans are making all kinds of excuses as to why they "didn't want to get promoted" but the one I like best is avoiding having to pay a previous owner £5m when they "get to the PL" :) when it's worth around £170m even if a club is just up for 1 season. Thick fookers.
  2. Drivers who don't use their indicators on roundabouts. And just as bad, those that don't know 'how' to use their indicators on roundabouts - signalling left before they've gone past the previous exit to the one they want.
  3. Southampton doesn't have 3 telephone area codes, it's (023). It's not (02380), (02381) or (02382). Maybe it's just because I'm f'kin old. Oh, and Chris Moyles.
  4. Domestic quadruple really, they won the Charity Shield for the season opener.
  5. Expecting a much improved season, we can all see the issue with being stuck with certain highly-paid players that may restrict our recruitment but the signs are that Ralph will have the squad we end up with playing to the best of their ability. I also expect our 'support' to be as sedate and boring as ever inside St Mary's and our gobbiest fans than never actually go to a game but sit in their bedrooms whining on messageboards will continue. Ralph will get frustrated with the lack of enthusiasm from the stands (and likely failed promises from the board) and will have no problem naffing off within the next 12 months Mixed bag then.
  6. I knew I recognised that face from the past
  7. Actual footage. pfc R.I.P. - Rubbish in Play-offs (1993 wants its joke back)
  8. Just had a nose on the UI and 'Kennington' adds an interesting theory: https://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/footba...dgy-sponsor/#7
  9. Darn, wrong thread - meant to be the new sponsor one

  11. Hasen-brütal, I’m going to savour next season with this fella before he moves on to bigger things.
  12. Only about 4-500 seats left between the 2 away blocks sent back and now on sale to ours. Should just about sell-out by kick-off and will be the most home fans inside St Mary's this season.
  13. But, tbf, the Northam is the official 'away' end, the Chapel is really the 'home' (only) end it's just that our 'singers' chose not to use it as that - but then moan that we haven't got a 'kop'. Many fans inside St Mary's for this England game won't be Saints fans so the Northam doesn't mean anything to them, any more than the rest of the stadium.
  14. So, they were all up in arms as they allocation had been cut to 2,000 but they've still got loads of tickets left. Sunderland did them a favour, the away section would have been half empty.
  15. Those end-of-season relegation battles have given some of us our best days out supporting this club. When we stayed up. Perversely, my favourite times have probably been in the lower leagues in the 70s and more recently, better away days, winning the cup and, of course, promotions.
  16. Bit of a nightmare trying to get a bevvy before the game, every pub rammed within a 2 mile radius of the ground. I think it was 10,000 officially crammed onto the Arthur Waite terrace but Saints fans hoovered up a big chunk of the home seats too, they were in every stand. Must have been 15,000+ there. Massive win that day but we actually stayed up courtesy of 2-goal Pahars v Everton a week later at the Dell. Another top day for the memories!
  17. This seems fitting: Sounds like we're from a similar era, done my time 'under the Toomers'. RIP
  18. 'Home' areas of the stadium just about sold out other than a few single seats but looks like they're struggling to shift the 2 away blocks sent back. Will be the smallest away support this season, they've still got their smaller allocation on General sale. I'm surprised, thought they'd have got a big send-off but their die-hards will still provide good vocal support, been excellent, mostly at home, since coming up.
  19. Yeah, but...
  20. Obviously fake news as it hasn't got Chinese betting firms all over it. After Sunday Virgin are no more.
  21. His spirit is unquestionable, his resilience colossal. People really need to absorb exactly what he's doing, what he's putting himself through, and then donate. Total respect Franny - get him on the banner.
  22. The reason he's playing in an away fixture is likely because some of our more dopey 'supporters' will have less of an impact with their booing and ridiculing at his first wobble. Those same dopey ****s have proven their f*ckwittery already this season with Redmond, Long and Prowsey. If ever a player needed his confidence rebuilding....
  23. There's the possibility that the regular starters will feel it's already job done with heads on-the-beach already, probably best to let a few hungry to impress fringe players have a pop and show Ralph they can be part of his plans.
  24. He'll get police protection, same as last time. Him and his girlfriends were surrounded by a ring of stewards and OB in the concourse after that last England game and later quietly ushered away. We were sat a few blocks away in the Itchen and saw the briefly lairy **** tumbling over the seats in front with a size 9 up his 'aris, don't know if the Saints lad got pulled.
  25. I agree, the prospect of a full season under Ralph H will ensure a big renewal with existing ST holders but those that have been lost over the past few seasons will still be tough to entice back, especially at a new ST price. People get into the habit of not going. And you can still easily stream every game for free.
