I think this could be a 'must win' or certainly a 'must not lose' game for Ralph or he may end up going the same way as Hughes after the corresponding fixture a year ago. 2-2 with Man Utd wasn't enough to save him. Fortunately, I can feel it in my water, we're turning it around from today with 3 points and a convincing display. Did I really just say that?

Proof of Gao's investment in infrastructure paying off, we're in the final! https://www.stadiumdesignsummit.com/public_downloads/TDA19-WinnersBrochure.pdf The Shortlisted Finalists Credits: Populous • New Bars at Melbourne Cricket Ground, Australia • The (new) International Suite at Old Trafford (Manchester United FC), UK • Theater Boxes and Seats at Chase Center, USA • The High Street Concourse at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, UK • Re-imagining Goodison Park Lounges at Everton FC, UK • 1885 Lounge at Southampton FC, UK

I see us as a medium-sized club in a medium-sized city with potential to occasionally trouble the upper third of the PL. Much like how it's been over the past several years. We're also quite capable in the current state to get relegated!

"Global Force" went out the window (well, was never actually on) when Krueger suddenly back-tracked us from US conquerors to "small club".

i'm getting the impression not everyone believes Nick's claims.

Interesting, Nick Illingsworth (is he an official club PR man these days?) suggests: "Gao is investing in the infrastructure, the goal is to build a global brand and develop the land around St Mary's namely the waterfront" https://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/southampton/forum/250450/dont-believe-all-you-read-!/#9

Anyone back in Southampton between 3 and 5pm. Preferably one with a big sofa to hide behind.

Ralph Hasenhüttl is a feature on today's Football Focus (it'll be a bit to different to last time!), will be interesting to hear what he can't say.

I think most of us were p*ssed at him walking out at the time but looking back a few years on you could understand why. He was let down with failed promises, the long-awaited stadium on the Pirelli site disappeared with little more than a whimper - he understandably probably realised he had taken this club as far as he could. We didn’t match his ambition, so what’s new? He had the chance to return home to the North East, just surprising it was to his beloved Newcastle’s rivals. Doomed from the start. He’s done more good for Southampton than bad, naming a suite or similar after him in recognition would suffice imo.

You've made some good contributions Reinhard, despite some questionable player choices/positioning this season (and how will we ever get over 0-9 at home?), I'm still a fan of RH. I think he's been sh*t on from a great height (a British saying!) and I bet he can't quite believe how badly it's gone since becoming a popular new face in the PL, the focus of attention on football TV shows and instantly adored by most Saints fans. This now seems a long time ago But I'd love to see Ralph with his choices in place, players/coaches that will suit his style, it won't happen quickly enough for some but this mess will take some time to sort out.

Maybe they've enticed Lawrie Mac out of retirement..........this club is presently a mess, this is a vital appointment that needs to repair a lot of damage. Let's hope he's been doing his homework, the transfer window opens in 6 weeks, we need to see a fair bit of movement in and out to turn this around. -
They're so proud of their little island yet constantly pretend they're from somewhere else. And they love to give the impression it's them that go to war for this nation - the Navy just happen to park their ships there, people from all over the country go to war from there. portsmyth - fantasy island.
-
They'll probably get 'arry's take on this (for a small fee f'sure), that would end well.
-
It probably started to go wrong with the players once Hugo Scheckter jumped ship to the Dildo Bros. and there was suddenly no-one there to tidy up behind them or run there lives for 'em. We've also lost quite a few others in recent times from various roles behind the scenes.

I think our next home game is live on Sky if some are intent on making some kind of protest (if enough bother to go!). Saturday teatime kick-off, a day on the lash before, could be a bit spikey. I'm predicting numerous arrests and plenty of banning orders.

Back in mid-September we had to opportunity to go third with a home win against Bournemouth followed by doing the pony-punchers to make us top dogs on the south coast. Today we sit second-bottom, Bournemouth 7th, Brighton 8th. Only small crumb of comfort, how bad were p-pfc to get done like that by us.
-
They do seem to stick by their managers though.
-
I couldn't stomach MOTD, did they mention our penalty call and lack of VAR?
-
Tbf, everyone made these predictions on how we'd performed in the second half of last season, followed by a very positive pre-season. There was no evidence to suggest it would go the way it has. The freaks on portsea island must be wondering how they got done 4-nothing in their own back yard.

Ahh, thought we were talking about the next man through the SFC manager's door...to be sacked 12 months later. Can't leave Pochettino off the OP's list either.
-
Could have done us a favour today with that clear pen.
-
It's the worry.........

Nobody would bat an eyelid, sort of thing some of our fans do anyway.

You need to go away and have a word with yourself. My eyes hurt.
