So not "fans", really just the one. The fact someone didn't 'ave a word or a steward just throw him (or whatever gender they identify as) out of the stadium (and get details of who provided the ticket) just show we're a soft touch as a club and a walk in the park for visiting teams, fans, referees...
-
Brentford would be nice, our new "local derby" - 65 miles to Hounslow West, big car park (free at weekends), quick trip on the tube and a half mile walk from Boston Manor. They'd only be 1,500 away tickets (if away fans are allowed back) so not much chance for most of us.

"most loyal and passionate in the world" They really do believe this shit don't they............. 😲 😃

Hopefully you're both right and he comes good but the signs aren't good.
-
But he doesn't want to be here, he's said he wants to leave the club and handed in a transfer request - he'd probably be happier to avoid injury if he's still keen to go.

Reminds me of a song "Clearly I rememberRuud van NistelrooySeemed a harmless little fuck.... ....Jeremy spoke in...class today"

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if we get a Hummel launch soon but Under Armor are still under contract so will expect the exposure until the end. But the way UA have fooked the club around over the deal I'm sure they'd happily kick them out the door sooner.
-
Contract with Hummel doesn't start until 1st July. So very unlikely.

This brings it home https://edition.cnn.com/2021/05/04/opinions/india-covid-world-help-lall-gala-gupta-bhatt-jain-khan-roy-arora/index.html 400,000 new cases a day a “gross undercount” resulting in new more dangerous variants to evolve that are suspected to “evade prior immunity” from vaccination.India is a major supplier of vaccines and medicines, and doctors and nurses, to the world - this has clearly long term consequences for everybody not just those suffering in these countries with inadequate facilities and supplies.

What a day that was. Nothing will ever be quite the same again.

One possible reason would be that once the area is gentrified, much of the industry has been moved out (which is in the pipeline/already happening) and the riverside opened up and developed, then that bit of land that the stadium sits on would be quite valuable - you could get a lot of apartments on there. That would of course be dependent on being able to find a cheap piece of land to build a new (cheap) stadium on elsewhere. Easy! There have been similar rumours of Gao's intentions for getting involved in the first place but obviously not worked out well for him if anything in it.

Saints at home to Leicester you say? On a Friday night? Live on Sky? That rings a bell.... I wonder if the commentators will remember?

"You don’t have to look too far to see the seriousness of the financial predicament with pre-tax losses of the 12 ESL clubs adding up to a worrying £667m, even before #LFC announce their results. Three of them lost more than £100m: #Milan £169m, #MCFC £125m and #FCBarcelona £112m" Just sell a couple of players, live within your means for a couple of years and problem solved.

I’ve got a soft spot for Rangers but as far as I’m concerned the Old Firm can fuck off. Can’t see why if so many are against a Euro Super League that would cripple lower/grassroots football in England, that it would suddenly be OK for Rangers and Celtic to jump ship and kill grassroots north of the border. Anyway, it would just become a bitter Jock/Irish/Anti-English caper (and all the carnage that would go with it) each week if it did happen.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez says they are doing it "to save football". Bullshit, you're doing it to save yourselves. They've brought on their massive debts themselves, paying ludicrous £300k-a-week player salaries, now they're desperately seeking a bail-out. Save themselves, fuck everyone else. If they get their way they'll just have two teams each, one for the Super League one for the domestic. Their lesser 'B' domestic squad will be far superior to anything else in the league as they'll have so much money to do it. They'll likely have two separate managers for the two teams.

Wahey, 3pm Saturday kick-offs are coming back! Kick the fuckers out...reset everything and start again* *won't happen but I'm just an old fucker that preferred the days of the terraces

Can't agree, I think you're underestimating their clout and, size wise, Rangers and Celtic are on another level to Villa/Everton/Leeds. On a separate point, this is bad news for any SFC takeover, Gao will be lumbered with a £200m millstone around his neck with the real prospect of (as most other PL clubs) having to finance long expensive player contracts. There's a real danger that some of these owners will asset strip while there's still value in the assets.
-
I would imagine Rangers and Celtic will eventually be targetted for this 'Super League'. Very big clubs will massive global support, give them a level playing field with finances and they'd be a credible force.

Hopefully you're right but...since beating Shrewsbury in the cup we've gone on to pick up just 7 points in the league while conceding something like 35 goals including another nin.....oops, nearly said it. But hopefully this time the stars are all aligned. -
I'm sure he watches every game afterwards from a TV perspective but he'd still not get an overall view of the game like from sitting in the stands...and seeing what we're seeing (when we're sitting in the stands!). I've been a Ralph fan, his philosophy is good but we constantly fail to adapt and the results and performances speak for themselves. I have the same trepidation going into this weekend's semi as I did with the Chelsea one, what should be something to look forward to has become a fear of what could happen. This time last year we were a joy to watch, right now I can't shake those two 9-0s from my thoughts.

looks like Stuart Armstrong and JWP will be announcing their engagement any time soon...

They’re only talking about 4,000 fans in total, there’s no way they’re giving 2,000 to each club (would be shit anyway), they’re going to VIPs -
