  1. Probably true...sh*ttttt...there goes p*rtsmuff's new 400,000-seater stadium...oh well...
  2. Shame as we had Brum under the cosh for most of it, best 45 I've seen from us for some time. Should also have been ahead, good chances and 2 likely pens missed by sub-standard officials. Little doubt Murty's injury was the turning point, Brum took full advantage of our reshuffle. All played well, Harding stood out for me, funny how one player can catch the eye more than others sometimes, but first half plenty of movement and hunger from the front pair. Saga was flying, like when he first turned up, tho' tired second half. Shop window perfomance?
  3. We recently watched the Millwall game in a bar whilst abroad on holiday with a number of Dutch, German and other football fans, they couldn't believe they were watching an English third level game, with a crowd in excess of 20,000. When I attempted to explain our circumstances, what's gone on over the years and started on minus-10, they were further impressed with the amount of STs we'd shifted. I think this is unimaginable in most other countries at this level. We may have gained a few overseas fans that day!
  4. Quite obviously we do but it's gonna get harder and harder attracting any decent player here when we're performing like that and rooted to the bottom of League One on -9. We're the best part of a month behind everyone else thanks to our calamitous pre-season so as notorious bad-starters...on minus 10...it was always gonna be ugly. Kelvin Davis has already proven to be the steal of the century. Thank f*ck for that!
  5. 'kin 'ell, you stiiiillllllll going on...is it time to remind you that you constantly called Leon Crouch a "cancer", not to mention your non-stop diatribe aimed at Lawrie Mac, so bravely whilst hiding behind your computer screen? Aint it about this point that you start giving us your hard luck story....
  6. ...well...there may be some merit in this idea if young Dicky takes his drum in the Chapel, it may just wake 'em all up down there! ...and Dicky, if you get your dad to go with ya you'll get in for free! Simples.
  7. They say he's got a 'trusty right peg' so I'm going with the bloke with the fiddle...who's also just sh*t a dog...and aint that a young Fred Dineneage peering out of that prostitutes window?
  8. Dear Dr Skate, p*mpey fans love their 'tradition', please revert back to their original colour shirts of 'Salmon Pink' and also p*rtsmuff's original nickname 'The Shrimps', far more appropriate. Thank you. PS forget any talk of a new stadium - not required, not enough fans.
  9. 'Hey Girl Don't Bother Me', The Tams - just sticks in the mind. Saturday mornings at the Top Rank, afternoons at the football. Levis, Ben Shermans, Loathers, Doc Martins, Braces, Harringtons, Crombies...not all at the same time tho! 'appy days.
  10. Gotta say I'm also a little surprised at the lack of any marketing through the post. Last season was the first time I haven't had a ST since the Dell went all-seater, member before that, virtual ever-present since early 70s. They shut the part of the ground that housed my seat last season so along with a number of other 'die-hards' I sit/stand with didn't bother relocating and just paid-on-the-day (what with ol' Rupes returning and tickets were always gonna be easy to get). Surely the old regime didn't wipe the database before exiting SMS, did they? Would have been nice for many long-standing ST holders who, for the above reasons, lapsed last year (that was partly down to club policy), could have been offered the chance to return at the renewal prices...but...I accept my punishment.

    Skates

...and we all know what happens when cousins get involved... http://www.laughfc.co.uk/stories/story.php?id=525
  12. ...so let's be grateful this aint the team we'll all be watching this season...
  13. ...would be reasonable but expect a massive surge of half-year STs if we're going well by Christmas.
  14. I thought it was us Saints fans that gave him that nickname?
  15. ...thinking about it, as a lot of the English based 'Gers will be buying 'home' tickets they'll probably only have to shift 10k themselves...
  16. Wow, wonder if the skates will get a rare full-house at little ol' fartton then? They'll only need to muster 15k-or-so fans...come on, you can do it.....
  17. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1725898,00.html Well, shows a Swiss flag on the OS, says they'll be a big Swiss flag at SMS this afternoon for him and he is a Swiss National so guess Swiss flags it will probably be. Anyways, at least it's the right colour and would you want to see SMS decked out in German flags?
  18. Surely there's someone in there you want to slag off? Anyways, for me, the greatest goal ever. A top quality 16-pass move, ripping apart the "mighty" Liv'pool. What a fantastic bunch of players on that pitch. Gerald Sinstadt: "You wont see a better goal than that this season!". alehouseboys: "Ever".
  19. My mate got his kids flags from there during the week, if you don't know where it is it's next door to the Firehouse Pub (the infamous Warrens in old money!) I believe they've also got stores in Lordshill and Totton if they're also selling 'em.
  20. Tho' not the earth-shattering appointment that got everyone buzzing, for a club starting in the third divison - on minus-10 points this close to the start of the season with half a team - we should be chuffed to get a guy of this calibre.
  21. Advice required... I need to get down to SMS tomorrow (been told they're not selling tickets in the Marlands) to buy a number of Adult Ajax tickets of which a couple are for seniors (free). Does anyone know whether they'd let me have them or do the 'old gits' need to turn up themselves? TIA.
