Just can't see too many walk-ups at £20 a pop. Should be a tenner max for friendlies (depending on opposition) and always a quid-for-kids. We almost never host a European giant, last I can recall would be Bayern Munich. Seem to remember it being mid-season for some reason and the place was rammed. Possibly the biggest ever attendance inside St Mary's as there were thousands still outside at kick-off and they must have just opened gates to ease the pressure because there were people sat/stood in the aisles.

You can park in the Westquay open carpark (by Furniture Village, etc.) from 7pm, (they charge til 8 but you can grab a free hour ticket from 7) Poorly priced for a friendly - £15 + £1.50 booking fee, goes up to £20 tomorrow. Not expecting too many walk-ups at that price.

It was a midweek game a week before Christmas, 5-6,000 had travelled north, most of us had probably suffered the same gridlocked M1 getting there and we’d just been knocked out by a League One side. He came over to the fans at the end and faced the vitriol, others were at least as guilty but he copped the collective angst. Probably made it easier for him to fook off to the scousers.

You have to consider how a 19 year old would deal with a "£30m" price tag on his head and the pressure that would come with finding the net regularly. And how he'd deal with some of the fuckwits that would quickly get on his back if he wasn't an instant success, or like any top striker, go through a lean spell. That's a lot of weight to carry on the shoulders of a young lad.

At half the price I would call it the bargain of the season. Guessing he'll likely end up at West Ham on a very good salary, will be something like £25m + add-ons (maybe up to £30m) fulfil his potential and then move on giving WHU a healthy profit on the deal.

As many clubs will install safe standing areas it will make it easier for the authorities to pick out and clobber those that don't but have persistent standers in seats. There will be added pressure to conform for the likes of us as there's now an option for all clubs, I'd suggest that if they decide not to install rails then all-seater will mean all-seated.

Looks like they're saying we've got him for £6m + add-ons, if he lives up to expectations then that's clearly a steal. Even if he doesn't quite hit the levels suggested, it's still a relatively small outlay. What's not to like?
