  1. If he’s going sooner rather than later I would have got shot last weekend and had a caretaker in for City. If we picked up and put in a decent performance it would be a good platform for the new gaffer - not ideal but even a heavy defeat could have still been ‘written off’ for anyone incoming
  2. Well they did put 6 past Man U and United put 9 past us, so 15 nil it is.
  3. Absolutely not, I agree with you, I can't understand why he changed it unless there was a niggling injury. But he was still on the bench so a head-scratcher.
  4. A cynic might suggest they may cash in on ABK in Jan and they need game time for CC before the window.
  5. How many fans of other clubs would just accept that? I'm onboard with getting the best young players to this club with a view to developing them and accept they'll then move on for big bucks, but I still want my team to go out to win and finish as high in every competition possible, that's surely what it's about for fans. Maybe that's why SR chose SFC for this model as, tbh, a large section of our support is probably the most passive and polite set of fans in the country, and they may feel they can handle and bat off any protesting types fairly easily. We've already seen how they've targeted the slightly more rowdy areas hooking out home fans over away fans/corps usually behaving worse. Time for Ralph to go now, this needs a shake up - new fella in after City for me.
  6. Ever the optimist, I'm going for just the 0-2 defeat.
  7. Some people appear to be taking Pilchards' "presser" post seriously...
  8. This has a similar feel to the home game around this time last year against Wolves, winnable but…
  9. Watching England in the San Siro tonight brings back a nice memory of Sam McQueen making his full debut for Saints there - not a bad stage to start your career, sad he never got the chance to crack on.
  10. So in simple terms, we’re saying out of 12,719 Saints Web members, only 265 could be bothered to vote and out of that, 181 want Ralph gone immediately and only 9 think he’s doing a good job. He’s doomed ain’t he (until we next win a couple of games of course)
  11. Coming up on ITV4+1 shortly (18:55) Match Time Revisited, Liverpool v Southampton - if you look closely you'll see me (and a few others) bouncing up and down as Stevie Moran slots home the winner
  12. Trouble is, if Edozie is bunged straight in week after week and he gets injured/burns-out, plenty will jump on him and say why didn't he learn with overplaying Tino. And tbf, Lavia only started a handful of games before injury. With 5 subs available he's a great option off the bench right now (as long as he's used) but Ely does need replacing.
  13. Tbf the BCP population is closer to half a million so maybe they see potential. And it is a pleasant part of the country even if a large chunk of the demographic are coffin-dodgers! https://www.macrotrends.net/cities/22838/bournemouth/bournemouth/poole/population
  14. Do you run a Thai restaurant............?
  15. I'm all for respecting the Queen and happy to go along with tributes, be it cancellation of events/football/whatever, but as most of these other events have been allowed to continue you can only put it down to the lack of trust put into some that attend football matches. In particular certain teams in the north west of England and east end of Glasgow. And if say those 'cheeky' scousers boo/disrespect any tribute at Anfield then I hope (even more) that Ajax absolutely rinse the gobshites. Justice for the 96 years her majesty graced this nation.
  16. Nice one Oriol! Interesting to see Girona playing at home in their away kit with no obvious clash with the opposition.
  17. It's scandalous when fixtures are moved at late notice for TV with no regard for fans with significant costs for travel, hotels, etc. It's not scandalous when this nation has just lost its long-reigning monarch - whether you're a royalist or not.
  18. There was only a handful of tickets left a few days ago, so proving popular - as you say, big performance needed maybe to swing some kids back from the ‘Big 6…or 7’ after recent tough seasons
  19. The technology I'd liked to see implemented is linking the ref's watch to the scoreboards for all to see. And a fooking big buzzer going off to grab the official's attention when time is up!
  20. How the fuck can that be left out of highlights? It was a very significant moment in the game. I like Che, he's got qualities, just not his finishing more often than not. That's why he's rated a £15m (he's still worth more imo) player by some, he's fluffed his lines too often to be a top striker.
  21. Yet to see Che's...effort...is it rivalling this one for the honour of 'miss of the season'?
  22. Had the same thought (I remember that from the 70s) but agree wouldn't be an issue for the PL (even Championship) but could certainly be a consideration for lower/non leagues. With far more midweek/evening games this season due to the World Cup break it will still certainly knock the ol' leccy bill northwards!
  23. Would prefer an away friendly, could see quite a few going over, a few days away in Barca and then give OR a big #saintsy send off at the match. Top man - been great for SFC.
  24. I can't see the club being blamed for (if) this one falling through, PSV hold all the cards here. Maybe they've got the incoming required £s by selling Sangare? Who can blame them for wanting to keep hold of this fella for as long as...
  25. There's yer Itchen North blocks 1, 2 and 3 right there.
