OK we've all had a moan about the situation but now it's time to stop crying and all the soft ***** looking for excuses to melt away from this trip should man up and just tough it out for a couple of hours of inconvenience. Your team could do with you there and if we walk away with 3 points it will stay with all those present for a long time (1984 is still particularly sweet) while all the other lightweights will be forever saying "I wish I was there". Priority for Brighton away tickets should go to a ballot of attendees on Dec 18th.

Tbf you're right it was nawty but tongue in cheek may be it would be more suitable and we know nobody ever sings songs put on here anyway with... "Oooooo Nigel Adkins, he’s the Gaffer, he’s fookin’ class, Poyet said we’re rubbish and it’s never gonna last, He said we play like Daggers but he talks out of his ass. Oooooo Nigel Adkins..........."

Fookinell, the deluded ***** really believe this sh*t don't they

"Oooooo Nigel Adkins, he’s the Gaffer, he’s fookin’ class, Poyet said we’re rubbish and it’s never gonna last, But he’s a Brighton bummer and he takes it up the a...... Oooooo Nigel Adkins..........." I know, it's not big and it's not clever

...and after another Cov fan told him we could get 30,000 in League One and they wouldn't get half that, he responded with... "I said not to make a mistake.... this is a false statemant as Southampton v Exeter was a vastly reduced entry fee as the two clubs sponsered by Flybe at the time and was special price. They were getting v low gates" I thought it was just the bitter-blue-few that randomly made stuff up like that...

Tbf some Cov fan does put him right mentioning we could get 30,000 in League One and they'd struggle for half of that. And...1976_Child...in reference to your post on another thread, where exactly is the capital of 'Britain'? An even earlier shot of a 1930s Dell looking towards the Milton, no 'Choccie Boxes' back then. Queen Mary in distance docked near Town Quay. ...and an iconic photo of the 1970s Milton Road End.

2010: Hampshire OB state they cannot keep fans inside a modern football stadium for half an hour or so after as it would breach their human rights. 2011: Hampshire OB state Saints fans can only travel at a certain time on designated transport under strict conditions. The fans will no doubt be held inside their sh*thole of a ground not only after before more than likely for an hour at least BEFORE. What changed so much in a year that was any worse than when they smashed up their own town a number of years back and no restrictions were put on them travelling? Having said that, none of this will keep me away, I'll put up with a sh*t day off the pitch for that opportnity for a little payback time.

Nah, you should have told them to wander down to the other end of the Kingsland and make themselves known there.
-
OK while we're all 'aving a moan...why do Saints fans try and cram too many syllables into songs? "...you dirty skate bastards...we're coming for you", "dirty skate ****s" would have scanned better , "...we are Southampton...we're top of the league", "we are Saints" fits easier and "EIEIEIO..............we are Southampton, we are Southampton...such a f'kin mouthfull why not just "we're Southampton". Rant over.

Combine the 2...our beloved Saints and Italian supremo..."Red and White Pepperami"...

I don't know where you've heard that, last I heard they'd sold around 1400, by kick-off that'll probably be up to 15-1700 I'd guess. OS says they're hoping to surpass the Leeds attendance in this article, which was around 26,000, but it's probably moved on a fair bit since it was written. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2497163,00.html If they have now opened blocks 1 and 2 it could mean getting near to selling out, at least for home fans.

That's when we play Brighton in a few weeks and the 'ST cock-up' kicks in. I'd say 26-27,000 for Boro.

Someone on their 'Hobnob' site said "they were loud but unoriginal", whereas their occassional singalongs with the drum and "small town in p*rtsmuff" were, I thought, highly original. I wonder if the very appropriate "small town in nowhere" retort went down any better? Overall good support especially when we scored, that was the 'nuts'. Looking forward to the up and coming aways, particularly Dec 18th when we finally get a decent allocation, the chance to wipe out the last 2 meetings and, at last, a roof to noisily ram into their dirty faces.

Agree with that, we were saying the same thing, we certainly needed to change it and once SDR eventually came on he was a handful for them. Tough 7 days and still top by 3 points, sweet aint it...

Tbf Reading got it spot on. They were on us as soon as we had the ball, we never had a chance to get our usual passing game going. They were a decent side, KD kept us in it and so a point it's a point gained against a strong team in my book. We may have to get used to it because a lot of sides are gonna handle us the same way now, fortunately they wont all be as efficient at it as Reading. I quite like the Madjeski, terrible location but good once inside...and once you've got out of the inadequate (and potentially dangerous) concourse...hard to believe it holds 7k less than SMS. Been before but always stood lower down, being higher up this time you notice how it quickly changes and because a lot steeper which gives the impression of it being bigger than it is. Also explains why the concourse is far too narrow below. The stands (particularly behind the goals) are also tight to the pitch unlike SMS. So, acceptable point, just need to get 3 in our (next) top-2 clash with Boro on Saturday.

...if you could remember the name of the pub and a few directions that could be a goer... ta.
-
...or the crowds dipped with the return of..you know who...and despite a relegation bound club over 27,000 turned up for the match after he was gone.
-
...or was that Preston?

I'm sure I read previously that they were but it does suggest on that link that tickets are available on-the-day as it says: "* Please note, on the day of the game there will be an increase in the Adult price. This will rise to £20.00." I got it wrong in my last post that it goes up a couple of quid 'otd', it goes up from £15 to £20 so well worth buying in advance. I believe they've also given us the entire stand, initially the centre section and then whatever else is required. Palace only got 11k during the week against Bristol City in the league so I wouldn't think they'll expect too many more for this cup game and would welcome as many Saints fans as possible. Could be a good night.

http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2488600,00.html We've already sold over 1,500 and just taken another 900 which they're expecting to go. It's also pay-on-the-night (goes up a couple of quid) so will be a top turn-out for this competition. Will make a right ol' racket in that old stand.

"...and plans to relocate Crawley down to the south coast will come to fruition in time for a new 'south coast derby' with little ol' p*mpey in 2012..." F*ck a duck, looks like it could happen then... fingers crossed for the fixture tho
