  1. Possibly - already doing Sportives in March and April so this in May would be fun and great charity.... Only issue for me is logistics getting down from. Scotland etc. Will find out more info.
  2. Oh dear seems I have hit a nerve, edited to get a bit more vitriol in haha.. You are so transparent. I think the Board needs to leap to your defence. Turks playing the victim card is sadly not new, but it IS funny. You are a fantasist, if you really read all that victimisation and 'rant and throwing insults (thick as s hit - so very very bad..' Yet so very very true) - wound up' into a simple post. You do not get it, or you chose not to, as you have failed to respond to any of the points, just retreated as usual into your 'look at me' pretend victim. To my shame I find myself laughing at you... When if I was as superior as you say I am , I should feel nothing but pity.....
  3. Keep laughing Turks, best way to deal with your issues.... Pretty sad that our education system failed you so badly that you struggle so much with Basic comprehension.. Thankfully you seem to be the only one struggling with this quite simple concept... but at least you seem to have a rather fertile imagination. But you are right, I do seem to be struggling with how you can so blatently misinterpret or even read things into posts that simply are not there... Although I suspect an element of that is through choice.... Problem with such wind up though, is it still makes you look thick as ****... Need to be careful, some folks might start to believe that is the real you, and your pseudo pretence at being ignorant is not so much put on, as a natural state. You can't seem to differentiate between the entire audience of TG and those that are simply admirers of Clarkson's 'humour' or enjoy his rather obviously contrived 'social clumsiness'.... Fair enough, it is wrong of me to to call you up on this if you are incapable of such a distinction
  4. Oh dear... You think I watch that crap?... Again, jumping to conclusions. I used to think you did this idiot act as a wind up, attention seeking etc.... But have come to the conclusion you are actually a bit dim ... For the record 'sunshine' - I am sure that of TG's'350mill' viewers there are plenty who cringe when Clarkson opens his gob and drops another casually racist remark.... But it's ok because it's just 'social clumsiness' as some his defenders seem to say... That's the 'best' excuse yet .... It's the fact that there are still so many who defend such 'social clumsiness' that means PC exists - to educate the stupid.
  5. the irony is that you seem to be accusing the 'PC Brigade' of over intellectualising a problem that does not require it.... Which is wrong in itself. This is not a difficult concept, in fact it's very simple. Racism, like all prejudices is a result of ignorance. People who are either poorly educated or schooled in the ignorance themselves. Folks don't like PC because they consider it 'telling them how to behave'- well if it's challenging casual racism, how is that wrong? .... "Such shame we are not allowed laugh at the 'darkies' any more, how dare they tell us that, it's just a bit a of fun and I know loads of black people who find it funny and are not offended by it... " Its simple - if you think and these casual remarks are harmless, that in itself is bad. What is worse is that you seem to be suggesting that it's disrespectful and exploitative of black people to stand against it... What utter ******. As you seemed to miss, it's not about black people, it's about what is right and wrong.... It's not about standing up for others, it's about illustrating to the ignorant what is... Right and wrong, because although they may claim to know this, they obviously do not, if they relieve it's fine to call folks slants.... As it's just a joke...
  6. Hahaha - this one was not even subtle. Just went straight over your head. You really do need to read things a little more carefully before jumping to your usual conclusions. It is funny as feck though watching you make a right arse of it. ;-)
  7. To use a James Mayosm ..... Cock! You do seem to struggle with very simple concepts at Times Turkish dear boy. Don't you understand that you could enjoy TG without always enjoying or agreeing with Clarkson's prattish bigotry? I labelled all those who enjoy Clarkson's brand of 'controversial' PC bating as stupid... Slight difference. But as you as 'aintforver' enjoy demonstrating frequently, you struggle with nuance.... If nothing else you are at least consistently entertaining.
  8. Have to say totally with Pap on this. What some seem to forget is that ' PC gone mad' is the last sorry and desperate excuse of those who cling onto outdated socially historically acceptable bigotry. Many of its defenders try and cite that for every in PC comment, there are never really that many that are 'offended' or those that are are just over sensitive..... Conveniently forgetting simple principles. Something does not need to offend anybody for it to be wrong. It does not need to have been deliberate for it still to be wrong - whether it's something as serious as criminal activity where 'ignorance of the law is no defence' or something 'trivial' in this a case where at best it's a 'coincidence' (really BBC 82 and FKL?) - being stupid is no defence at all. Clarkson May or may not hold these 'controversial', 'edgy' views - accepting the part played in generating audience. Umber sand discussion that his 'unPC' opinion and insensitive comments generate - whether on TG or in his various newspaper columns or books... But in some respects that would make him worse, exploiting the ignorance of some towards their own innate bigotry for his personal financial gain... He's just a sad old and outdated ****, lucky enough to have found an audience for his limited repertoire. An audience without the intelligence to see his 'act' as the old school bigot for what it is, or one that is in agreement with his opinion.
  9. Can someone pls translate what this f**kwit just posted please. Thanks ;-)
  10. This is part of the problem... Many on the Yes side of the debate have suggested those voting No did so because of 'fear' and are somehow weak- minded individuals' - yes you go on to acknowledge not all, but you have to differentiate between 'fear' (maybe a few taken in by propaganda) and those who felt, IMHO quite justified in deciding that there was simply too much unclear to take what would have been an irreversible step. Salmonds mistake was the expectation that everyone would take the future resolution of many important issues in good faith...issues that would need negotiating and thus the outcome was far from cLear. For many, voting for something that you can't change later ( as with normal electoral cycles) meant a greater examination of the policy .... And there were simply too many large holes. That is not fear, that is an expectation that when making a decision of this magnitude, you can make an 'informed choice' based in information..... Sadly there was simply not enough. The whole no campaign was poor - because there was probably a feeling that. No would win comfortably, and thus no need to get too excited about it... Hence the panic towards the end. But it's also fair to acknowledge that it's pretty difficult to get folk excited about the status quo.... What would have Ben more democratic is if both sides had a greed that this referendum would not happen until an gated settlement on the future states had been negotiated - whether Yes or no including future powers of devolved Scottish Parliament - then it removes any ambiguity, and an informed choice can be made with a little more heart involved.
  11. Really great stuff - ''but I draw the line at Port Vale'' lol - superb performances all round, poignant, funny and Heartwarming.
  12. I am not sure who instigated it, but it think that the reason why we may be 'bucking the trend' with respect to new managers and players and doing quite nicely thank you... (And yes I am surprised it's worked so well.... ) is that we seem to have adopted the 'German' strategy. All about deciding on a culture and a style and sticking with it regardless of the personnel... Begun with Pardue, developed by Nige and POCH and now Ronald with evolutionary steps rather than revolutionary ones we usually see attempted at many clubs when a new manger beings in a whole new style/ culture etc... If Reed has been instrumental in this he deserves a huge amount of credit.... Managers and players identified, not because of their 'name and reputation' but based on whether they might best fit/slot straight in to the team.... As the Germans have done from U17 through to first team... With club sides coaching the same skills / ideals to fit with national team model, so seem to have adopted same all through academy levels and in recruitment. it's also why we have IMHO down better than the sum of our parts, just very well drilled and with continuity of style... With small evolutionary improvements... And maybe why I was very concerned when we sold so many... Would we be able to maintain that continuity of style and momentum built with that side.... Thankfully I appear (early days yet but) to be wrong... And as with any fan, it's great to be wrong on this occasion. ;-)
  13. OP misdeed a trick there... Should have named the thread 'Return of the Judai' ..... I'll get my coat...
  14. Samuels is an arse (imho) - perhaps only surpassed as a heap of arse but the **** rag he writes for... but then again I am biased. But apart from his assumption that the current board ..could/might make a habit 'selling and replacing' its a fair assumption that should you avoid the constant change - he is right in that have we not all been schooled in the following? a) continuity is key, b) there are bigger risks associated with new recruits than sticking with the players you know c) even good players can't always jell to make a team... and if there was ever a club that has shown periodically that you can achieve mores as a team, than as a collection of stars its us. The problem we have is that irrespective of what the board would 'like' to do - should we have a great season, how many will 'want to leave for bigger and better things beyond the control of the board' the moment the 'big club' come calling?.... Whilst we (and the board) continue to accept that 'there is nothing clubs can do' when players want to leave - nothing will change, and if we end up getting replacements wrong, it can be doom. There needs to be a shift - something MUST change to provide more of a balance so that clubs are not held to ransom by agents and players the moment they get a sniff of something they perceive as better... or the club needs to deliver on its ambition...
  15. Did you say the same thing about Lallana when he was 19? Many on here did.... just need Glasgow/whatever to dig it up....
  16. Fair play - respect. But can't you see that the weirdos jumping on any one who criticised Cortese, is no different to those now jumping on anyone who criticised Krueger and the board? Reality is, for some weird reason, we all differ and tend to favour one set of board folk to others - think that is normal as we won't all be judging things on the same criteria or values - what are the most important things to some, might not be to others. We just need to maybe accept - and I include myself in this- that ALL should be open to criticism as well as getting the plaudits when they do good things.... We all tend to be more vocal in criticism than in praise.
  17. Well let's suggest that in regaining the 'family values' that were lost, we might stop using the 'mong' term at every opportunity... I dare say it's offensive to some families.
  18. Fair point. I think even us who were supportive of NC would acknowledge we lost something during that time. Maybe there is no specific wrong or right here, and that different circumstances needed different measures... ? After the mess we were in, some cold hard nosed decision making with little room for sentiment was probably what was needed to get us back so quickly, especially when you see how many big clubs have struggled post relegation. Something proven to be the correct approach... ..But maybe without Marcus's guiding hand to soften things a bit, it's not surprising how many felt we had gone too far. With stability and prem football returned, not surprising either that it was time for a softening of the approach and a return to our more 'traditional' values? . I can see why this is great and appealing, but let's hope that we don't go back to accepting mediocrity. We have shown the league and other clubs what can be done with a more challenging philosophy and despite having the cream of talent picked off, seem to be showing once again that if not stuck on giving jobs to to the old school rent a managers, but trying something new, we might just be able to repeat the feats of last season.... Trick is in not having to go through the same again next summer, because an element of luck in recruitment is certainly a major requirement.
  19. Right, can yous *****s (the effect of living in ... Scotsownland), intellectual bros, pokes, bear and Bletchley parks (70s prog album title there if ever there was one), now leave us juveniles alone to get on with our inane, inarticulate anger issues please. Seriously feck off back to muppetsville so that we can regain the lack of respect for each other, mutually wind up and generally be unpleasant again... Your injection of humour and good nature plus systematic taking apart of the soiled underpants that is Fry, is most unwelcome as it upsets the delicate balance of the forum universe..... I feel a 'drunken rant' laced with pompous opinion, and lacking appropriate syntax coming on.
  20. See most would just ignore you, walk away from your rather pathetic bullying attempts.... Realising your are probably just too darn stupid to even see it as such.... But me, no, I am quite interested as to what perverse sort of pleasure you get from this behaviour? Please tell all. Might make an interesting story, no? Come on, emote, open up and may be you can get closure, move on, and have a normal life? Sure there are plenty on here all rooting for you ;-)
  21. Haha, urban myth creating as usual Turks... How a glass turns to a bottle, and a bit do a rant into 'ranting and raving' - you should work writing bul lsh it headlines for the red top rags, your talents obviously wasted in stationary or whatever... Tactics if the playground Turks, you know it, I know it, but you are the only one who finds it amusing... Must be a bit dull it Turksville if this makes you feel good about yourself - so glad you are getting some pleasure in life ;-)
  22. Admirable moral crusade.... But tell me, do you also act all 'grown up' and rush to admonish Turkish or some of his cronies when they insult Alps about his weight or think it's amusing to insinuate posters are alcoholics, or do you not think they are worth your self righteousness? I have not seen you attack Turkish's efforts at all, let alone with such zeal. Is it because he might turn all nasty on you? It's not just you. This whole thread is full of hypocrites demanding apologies for the board and KL yet who are happy to watch and remain silent whilst a few forum über lords dish out their own brand of insult... ...and Wes, sorry, but you are also missing the point re the 'seriousness' - I always post what I believe and feel at the time. Therefore it's bound to be influenced by whatever mood I happen to be in... Happen to be comfortable being emotional... So every now and again, I will react emotionally, other times more calm reflection. Sorry but whilst 'ant' believes rather immaturely that it's so important on a football forum to remain emotionally sterile before posting, many recognise that this is just football, so 'losing it', ranting, or whatever other emotional outburst is presented, really is fine... Because this is NOT a place where taking it all so seriously all of the time is of any importance. I agree with those that believe the personal insults aimed at KL were out if order.... And I apologise to Ralph for calling him a few names... But at least demonstrate some consistency and express the same moral outrage towards those that sling the personal insults around in here, otherwise you look weak and hypocritical. Alternatively, don't take to all so seriously and simply ignore those whose comments you feel are inappropriate.... But at least be consistent in your choice.
  23. If it helps I did feel 'dirty' saying that.... and I apologise to all those for whom this may shatter the delusion that there is profound and important things to be found on these here pages. The best way I can summarise is that I like most on here talk a lot of shiedt. Sometimes its less sheidt, at other times its still steaming... sometimes I get angry, sometimes I take it all too seriously... yet at other times its over emotive, sometimes too sterile.... I am just happy to admit that this is one place where I don't need to be taken seriously all the time, can be pompous, can be irritable - as I don't expect my opinion to be 'life affirming' or 'life changing' - it is just a load of football boll ox in the grand scheme of things....and the fact that we do get all steamed up about it is what keeps it entertaining and keeps us coming back even when insulted ;-)
  24. As much as your efforts at being all very grown up about this are admirable, in your efforts to remain aloof and provide a perceived intelligent and rational response, you are missing the point entirely. Both you and Wes are suggesting that you should expect everyone who posts on here to present this 'ever so grown up' perspective all the time and that should they fail to reach your rather high expectations then they have somehow failed - and therefore should be chastised? This would be a perfectly acceptable and reasonable opinion if we were talking about a discussion forum on a serious topic - maybe the issues and challenges in the middle east, or something that actually matters and should be taken seriously - but we are not. We are talking about a football club fan forum - where you and your opinions are valid, but no more than anyone else's. Where the behaviours you take care to display, are valid ... but no more so than anyone else's - unless you do take this all ever so seriously. You need to recognise that you and your chosen behaviour is just part of the spectrum of users - most of whom will be perfectly rational, reasonable and 'adult' about things in 99% of their lives and chose this place to whinge, moan and generally throw their toys out the pram about the meaningless and relatively unimportant in the 'grand scheme of things' subject of football - if that is so offensive to you, well that's your right/choice etc, but its not in the rules that everyone must be perfectly rational all the time - well not the last time I looked anyway. There is no 'timidly putting toys back in the pram' - just folks responding to those who are now belittling their opinions - despite the fact that one win does not a season make - so what if some folks over reacted, or 'spat the dummy' what difference dos it make to you or others? Does it change your opinion? Its just a small insignificant web forum, nothing more. I will repeat, that direct personal attacks are not justified, but not sure how calling someone a prat for opening his gob in public and coming across as insincere, and at best naive, and is such a big deal - unless you are very sensitive?
  25. Meeeow! Love it when you so Butch! ;-)
