  1. Sure they will, but I hope its someone with a huge dose of realism and honesty, rather than what we have had these last few years.
  2. I would just get them to read the audited accounts from between 2003-2008 - its all there.... once again though 'SAINTS AS PLC, LEGALLY RQUIRED TO FILE ACCOUNTS AND AS A PLC HAVE STRICTER LEGISLATION ON ALL FINANCIALS ' does not make as good a headline as in effect 'whose got the cash'.... media garbage again.
  3. Wes, it was a great showing but no doubt there was a feel good factor (which we have seen before) and £15 a seat (ironically announced before the admin saga - finally Rupes does something to increase attendences! ;-) (Thats just for Apline)) had something to do with it. It does show potential buyers the level of support we can muster under the right circumstances - but what can we realistically expect to be an average gate as a mid table league1 side? Thats what potential purchase might also be asking - and tBH they should because we need a buyer who is a REALIST, has a business plan and strategy that works within our realistic revenue streams, niot some fantasist guided more by populist dreams than sound business practice (unless they have bucketfuls of cash that is ;-)) I was in Block 5 Saturady and we saw 3 suits with clipboards 3 seast along from us...either a great way to blag a freebie, or were doing sonmething - personally if anything right now, our elague position and status will be a bigger factor in any negotiations, stay up aand we are a far better proposition.
  4. Very amusing - if it pleases you to be 'right' - fill your boots, dont think most fans on here give a flying feck about who is 'right' wrong' vindicated' which you seem so welded to - most of us just want a club at the end of the day, and even if you actually had a point, because you actually understood my position rather than inventing it, I would be happier having a bruised ego because I was 'wrong' than having no club at all.... from your ego fuelled postings on this matter, the same cant seem to be said for you....
  5. Not surprizing its from a Murdoch rag - we upshot is we have never been popular with Sky as a prem club, simply put Sky would have preferred a club with a bigger armchair fan base than fans that actually go to games - or get away with not showing us at all... The points about dillusions of grandeur as valid, if applicable, but apart from over optimism and a call to 'SPEND' (How ironic now) after teh cup final, I woudl say on balance we have always known our place. I take issue though with the -' premiership- club' bit. Its a bit feckin rich coming from a murdoch rag to try and now when it suits them include the entire histrory of teh old 1st division and lump it in with the premiership.... when its all but purged from history in 99% of all media outlets with sky and its premiership stats leasding the way - e no longer hear of top flight goals, its 'premiership goals and appearances, titles etc as any side or player who achieved similar heights in the old 1st division, has this now 'devalued' because obviously now its the premiership it must mean so much more.... ***t. So Our defence then must surly abide by the same rules - we were a 'founding premiership side' - so too darn right we should be in there! ;-) The guy is talking out his proverbial, but thats pretty typical of the naive and oft confused ignorant knobs posing as sports journos in the Murdoch press...
  6. I agree to some extent - anyone is better than having no club, and we should all count our blessings if someone does manage to strike a deal, but we've had the 'fan' stuff before, and look where that got us...
  7. Ideally its all new blood... the alst thing we need right now, is ex this and ex that riding into town on a steed of populist ideals with no substance - we need survival, consolidation, foundation laying for future growth... not more charm offensive rhetoric...
  8. Abuse? That's rich ..... suggest you revist the majority of your own posts - yes, I am playing down the chance of a BUYER, because as yet nothing is certain and we have only weeks to get something sorted. That is a realsitic CONCERN. As to you rarther feeble ' Seems to me it is you that wants the sale to fail so you can say "look - we were better sticking with Lowe, at least we still had a club"' I have to say i find that one of your weaker attempted insults - but to reiterate I will respond to both points: 1. I would be happy with ANY chairman whatsoever, if it meant Saints survived and yes that includes lowe IF and ONLY IF it was a choice between no club and a club with Lowe - thankfully that is not an option, but we still run the risk of having no club if no buyer is found - (feel free to respond here with another feeble attempt at bringing lowe into it where its not even an issue...) 2. Nothing would be more welcome than a positive outcome to a sale - that gave us stabilty and allowed us to consilidate and have a secure future to build on... NOTHING. Those who know me will understand that your 'fail so I can say' comment is total bull - so continue to make up as much stuff as you like, it just contuinues to illustrate your ignorance.
  9. LOL, good point ;-) I believe there are possibly genuine folk looking to do genuine deals as Morph hints at, but We should not be expecting some sort of massive cash injection and player funding - survival and consolidation (league 1) will eb th first order of the day and thats where there is a concern, because whatere we would like to believe, league one wont attract crowds of more than 13-15k at best, less if we dont do well..
  10. We could be out of business by the season end if no buyer is found - we could be starting next season in League 1 even if by some miracle we actually got enough points to stay up, or start next season on minus points. Yes we no longer have Lowe Wilde or Crouch - if that makes you happy fair enough, I am indifferent towards it, but you are hopelessly misguided and ignorant if you believe the club is in a better position than it was 10 days ago. If we FIND A BUYER, who can provide funds, fantatsic, and then we will indeed be in a FAR better position, but from the rumours I have heard, there are still a lot of tyre kickers out there and 'proof of funds' is the sticking point. Not sure of your motivation with this post either, it seems that your own 'vindication' is more important to you than the survival of the club.... and thats not the attitude of Saints fans
  11. Pancakes post on the facts sums it up - only 3 posts as we still know very little for sure or what it all means... fair to say we have had betterdays though!
  12. The ONLY thing that would not make this a complete disaster is if he had some major cash in tow - a partner with serious spondoolies....which sadly i cant see happening.
  13. I hear ya, but I think we are all in the dark still!
  14. NO problem with that, but hearsay and gossip has been the lifeblood of many a 'campaign' ;-)
  15. As far as I ma aware, this is correct.
  16. Exactly - all these guys, if they want it bad enough, wont care less what fans think no matter how much protest etc is put up... surely it should always have been less abouit the ;who' and more about the 'plan' and in our current case the cash behind it?
  17. Thats what I was told on here, well S4E, that he cashed in a bundle when after floatation - came from one of the 'reliable senior posters.
  18. Scrooged surely ;-)
  19. Did you mis out CRouch intentionally ?
  20. No I will not rise to that, so back to the thread - 'not a time for division' - I think this as a problem is over emphasised generally - sure there is plenty of differing opinion on many of teh clubs perspectives, but can this be clased as division/ not sure it can, we dont have hoards of opposing fans squaring up out side St Mary's the vast majority just want stabilty, an end to the decline and entertaining football with wins! - we only really differ on how this could best be achieved and for the most parts its difering opinion rather than 'divisions' - this forum is afterall only reflective of a TINY percentage of fans - not the vast majority who attend week in week ou.
  21. Look, was not trying to paint any such picture, but be fair for a moment - these guys did not set out to feck up - none of them did, they have through varying degrees of mistakes and letting ego rule their heads or by following their hearts - not through some malice - thats the poiint I am trying to make, and from that perspective they at least did TRY... whereas the others mentioned took the money and ran the moment it was on the table...and no Crouch only made his offer to Lowe, not the rest of the Lowe camp which Lowe had said the offer must be made to - Pay attention ;-)
  22. Sorry not had time to read the history, but is there not a legal issue with the LSE in having this information before its released to LSE? I appreciate the LSE would have ben close by the time these leaks occurred, but ther was some trading yesterday on 5000 share chunks so someone got wind...
  23. Its all harmless banter really...;-)
  24. Depends do you have a beard?
  25. No not really, I and I am guilty of once being dragged in, encouraging it...apologies.
