  1. ...after Peckhart went off, when was the last time that happened? Serious question. Almost all were English as well - awesome I loved last night, havent truly enjoyed a game like that in I dont know how long.
  2. stay away supporters = apathy. All I'm saying is that we could do something more positive to show our feelings regarding the current situation rather than just stay away, which can only be viewed as negative all round. This doesnt specifically mean people should go to games, as I understand there are a number of reasons why people don't go, but many posters on here are stating that they wont go whilst Lowe is there, which is embarrasing to me if there is no other action taken.
  3. I'm not forgetting the current credit crunch, which is why I stated people who cant afford to go could still attend a peacefull demonstration after a game!
  4. and most other things - but you cant change your football team. I cant stand Lowe or Wilde, but I will not stop supporting MY team. I was really expecting 20k for Barnsley and was close to tears at the attendance - ridiculous isn't it? I have a friend who regularly comes down from Grimsby to watch Saints - he can't tell you why specifically - he just has to be there if at all possible - many others feel the same - not right or wrong, just a fact. I am embarrased by the fans who feel not attending games is an honourable thing to do, if you really wanted action, go to games (which will help the team and the club) and organise a peaceful protest after every home game (I would participate). This would enable everyone (people who cant afford to go to games etc.) to make their voice heard. How attractive to a potential investor do you think low gates make us? It wont happen because it takes too much effort, much easier to whinge on a web forum and do nothing - apathy reigns and so will our current plight. rant over - I feel better now
  5. when accompanied by an adult. We need to do something, and quick, because the attendance is just embarrasing and worsening our financial position. People who've bought a childs season ticket can have a free saints shirt and a place in the team photo (or something!) There must be loads of freebies the club can provide to make up the difference in price. People keep blaming the economic situation (well, on the radio last night they did) as a reason for not attending matches, the club should take as many barriers away as possible.
  6. "This is the lesson: never give in, never give in, never, never, never, never—in nothing, great or small, large or petty—never give in except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy" Winston Churchill - 1941 only aspect that we haven't shown IMHO is a bit more good sense. However, I am enjoying this season and don't think we are far away from a decent team........
  7. Unbelievable news!! I cant believe we wont be there. I will be doubly excited at 3pm GMT this Saturday. Hope all goes well.
