1 win in 15…. Different coaching staff, new players, same results. Common denominator….. the alpine flopp. Get him out.
-
Maybe, but perhaps some of the coaching staff wanted to go for the win, rather than settle for a draw. The Alpine Flopp is overly defensive in his approach these days
-
Agreed. Looked quality today; especially going forward.
-
Correct. The screens are / were too big for the roof to hold. I’m not sure if or when the reinforcements are planned but from what I hear, it’s not a cheap process. A bit of a shambles really.

We don’t play to his strengths, as a striker. To get the best from him, we need to be playing more balls in behind. As a striker with his back to goal, he’s total crap. Wouldn’t mind seeing him on the left in a 433
-
It was a fantastic pass and I don’t think we have anyone else in the team who can thread a ball like that… however, people do love an overreaction don’t they. ”this boy is going to be a star” 😂

I think we saw the benefit of the backroom change yesterday. Continuous discussion between the coaching staff and Ralph, which ultimately led to good, correct subs. Had that been last season, I don’t think there is any way in hell we’d have come back from 2-0 down or made those subs.

Only after sitting in the CHAPLE END…
-
He’s terrible, worse finisher than Che. Gets loads of chances at Brighton and hardly takes them… exactly the sort we need to avoid
-
He’d be a good replacement for Che, I.e “second striker”, but I still feel like we need a replacement for Broja and one who can play on the shoulder / on the counter. Sorta what Armstrong should be doing, but better.
-
Just to play your best players, where possible, each week and not try and be smart. we’ve not got good enough player or management to try and be smart. Just do the basics.
-
And that’s ignoring a similar run at the end of the season before, as well. Truth be told, we’ve had a run of 2 Or 3 stints of form and the rest served up Has been total shit. Im expecting that we’ll pull the trigger and we’ll probably go down whilst the Ralph Cult will say “I told you so” ignoring that we’re on a relegation slide under him.
-
Personally I’d rather we booted Ralph and gave him a chance under new management, than getting rid of players like Diallo. I think he’s shown glimpses of being a decent player.
-
Perhaps Ralph should ask you to take the next team talk. I’d expect them to come out all guns blazing with your incredible words of wisdom. Or perhaps get a manager in who can actually boost moral in the dressing room.
-
Now there is someone who is lucky to be in the premier league….
-
No one has asked for sympathy, nor said that they’re not trying ‘to do their best’, however if you cannot see the impact motivation, moral and confidences has to a professional sportsman (in fact anyone), then that says more about you than them.
-
Another one who seemingly thinks that because footballers earn a lot of money, they shouldn’t suffer phycological and mental issues. “Who cares if you’re doubting your ability, just facking get on with it Innit.”
-
You’re a bit of a Wally, aren’t you.
-
I’d assume they used some form of broker to manage the sale, but as I understand it (pretty common knowledge), semmens hand picked who won the ‘bid’.
-
If you hate where you work and hate who you work for, subconsciously, would you work as hard?
-
What’s your point?

The general feel is that the rot started a long time ago and has continued to fester to a point where confidence is so low it’ll take a significant amount of time to turn it around. I do agree though, it’s never ‘too late’ so to speak, clubs in much worse positions than ours have had a manager change and turned things around. I don’t see a way back under Ralph though. My opinion not something I’ve been told. Situation reminds me of Howe at bournemouth where he lost the dressing room and stayed a season too long. We all know how that ended.

You know what, as much as I am a firm believer in fans being able to moan and groan, especially after, in general, being served up total shit for the past 6 years and suffering 2 humiliating defeats with an ownership / board with absolutely 0 ambition, they do have a point. Everything is toxic at the minute, the tide has turned so that the majority want the manager out and some are very very against him. We know there is 90% chance we’ll serve up a pile of shit. We know we take the lead early, we throw it away. We make the same mistakes week after week. the fans go into games with a sense of doom and there is no way that doesn’t rub off on the players. It must be bloody awful for the players knowing that the fans have 0 confidence in you. After all, regardless of how much they’re rightly or wrongly paid, they’re still people and not robots. In a way, credit to the club for loyally sticking by the manager, but we absolutely should have pulled the tigger in the summer. A fresh start, new owners, new coach and exciting crop of youngsters etc. But any optimism was completely sucked out by a dismal performance we’ve become accustomed to. We’re delaying the inevitable by keeping him. Even if he puts a run of 10 wins together, we’re only 2 losses away from everyone turning again.

Had an interesting catch up last night with a current first team player. Although, not a regular starter however, so potentially views may be biased. Basically said, moral is rock bottom and the dressing room Is a bit of a mess. Positive towards the new coaching staff and ownership but “it’s come too late”. That being said, he naturally wouldn’t comment on Ralph. Not really anything new but interesting to hear it from the horses mouth, so to speak. imo we need a full clear out, Ralph and a significant number of the legacy playing staff. I knew we were in trouble, but based on what was said, I’ll be amazed if we stay up… unless something changes.

If the fucking CEO is a loser and considers us ‘lucky to be there’, then what message does that send to potential, high profile signings? Like a new striker as an example. Club is rotten, Gao and the coaching staff have gone but a bigger clean out is needed across the board. Starting with the 2 idiots running the club and given free reign to pick the new owners, of whom conveniently didn’t get rid of him. A huge conflict of interest there.
