If anyone is capable of losing 33-1, it is us….
-
Without trying to sound or look like Kirk and his old man, surely if you’re in block 1 it’s time to hand your season tickets back and demand a refund. The club cannot continue to treat home support like this.
-
Or he respects the manager and his sources and doesn’t want to burn bridges… which I’m guessing are Semmens and co.
-
Exactly. Segregation like they have in the Northam, next to the barrier in Itchen north would make much more sense from a fan and cost perspective. Imagine writing off the cost of a whole block of home fans (who generally pay more) because of a bit of argy bargy.
-
From what I’ve seen, the bloke has sparked up more harm than good. ‘the response team’ or whatever the private security twats are called are a bunch of heavy handed tools. Rip of bouncers who do more to escalate the situation than clam things down
-
They’ll probably stick all the away fans they let in the home end and / or boxes take over block 1.
-
Disgusting. There are Some absolute dickheads running this club.

Given the right tools, he’ll be a top manager. He suits us down the ground in terms of what we’re looking to achieve. I suspect a few probably would have said the same about Potter a few seasons back…
-
Apparently he’s underperforming his XG…. Fucking rubbish is that Haaland kid
-
Not really… a manager we rate, highly; is on the brink of the sack at another club (ran by a crack pot). If he’s our preferred option, Why would we approach them having to pay compensation when he’ll likely be sacked come next week.
-
Forest, the same side who signed about 28 players in the summer just throwing money with no real strategy and still ended up with Steve Cook at CB. I wouldn’t be judging anyone on that shit show of a club, the owner is clearly a crack pot.
-
In fairness, I think there’s a good chance we will go down. I just don’t think we have enough firepower going forward, regardless of who comes in.
-
Not really, who knows if a new manager we bring in will keep us up. Unless we’re going for a Big Sam/ Dyce type (not going to happen), there’s a risk with any manager we bring in. Cooper, at the very least, has proven his ability and should the worse happen be perfect should we drop. FWIW, I think he’d do alright here. I think there’s a question mark over anyone we bring in if they can keep us up. I’d stick Frank in the same bracket.
-
Proven track record of working with Younger players, generally been a success anywhere he’s been and should we go down, he’s about as good as we’ll get in the championship. seems a no brainier to me if I’m honest. I dont know if he’s the man to keep us up, but he’s certainly the man to bring us back.

You’re surely joking? Our defence, other than maybe the Liverpool game a few years back has been absolutely appalling. And I’m sorry, but beating a Pretty average L1 side in a routine 4-0 win, isn’t really something to consider an achievement or shout home about… The bad, far outweighs the good imo.
-
Can’t say I know much about him, but a little read from what I could find on Google and I tend to agree. I don’t think it would be a huge shift from how Ralph (at his best) had us playing and likes a back 3, which we’ve tried a few times this season. If I’m honest, I think it’ll be Steve Cooper.
-
Agreed. I’m starting to feel a bit sorry for the bloke (I know he’s going to get a multi million £ pay off, so I shouldn’t), he clearly cares about the club and is clearly a decent enough bloke. Arguably had the hardest job of any of our managers in recent years and has done an ‘okay’ job, but the writing has been on the wall for a while. He had the added pressure of being massively overrated by many of our fans / cult following ‘ralphampton nonsense etc.’. I’m sure he’ll get another job and do well elsewhere but I’m not sure he’s the right fit for us at this moment in time. The second 9-0 was the turning point for him imo. Completely lost his way after that result and ultimately, will be known as the manager to lose 9-0 twice. I’ll Wish him luck for the future.

We were obviously watching a different game, AMN was appalling. Doesn’t look like a CM to me.

A warm welcome to the forum, Matthew Le Tisser!
-
It’s a really interesting point Valery made about confidence. It’s probably why we go on ridiculous bad runs of form and crumble under pressure. When confidence is low, Ralph doesn’t have the skill set to lift it. It’s a big issue.
-
If I was as poor as Bednerak and was being selected as a first choice for a PL side, I’d be right up the managers arse as well…. Weird that Bednerak didn’t want to stick around amd play under a manager of his skill set then, isn’t it!

Your TV is on its way out or your colour blind?
-
Not the debate I’m having. I already said I wasn’t a fan of Puel. Personally, I think he’s on par with the alpine Flopp, just wasn’t as ‘trendy’ so didn’t get the same grace as Ralph. My point is that getting to a final and getting to a semi final or the equivalent of each other. Clearly, getting to a final is a bigger achievement than a semi final.

There’s a reason it’s an alternative view….
