  1. Guessing somehow from his time at Yeovil…?
  2. Good luck Nate, you’re gonna need it. Do what you’ve gotta do to keep us up this season (even if that means 10 men behind the ball and pumping it long), build on it from there.
  3. New manager bounce. Last game before World Cup. Rocket up the arse. we need to be really agressive and committed, see how much they fancy it with the World Cup the following week, especially as not many (if any) of ours will be going. 343 for me. either keeper, both are shit. ABK DCC Salisu AMN lavia JWP perraud Aribo Adams Adozie
  4. Cheers for the snippets. Question: Why didn’t Selles do this whilst Ralph was still in charge? Absolutley needed, but could it have been done earlier? Not a dig, a genuine discussion point. Interesting Ralph suggested Selles should replace him. If he believes in him so much, is this seasons form partly Selles fault as well? Or if not, if Ralph rates him so highly, why wasn’t he listening to him more?
  5. He’s got no chance. Most have made their mind up already. I suspect those who’ll be calling for his head after a couple of defeats will be the same as those who made every excuse under the sun to defend Ralph. we all wanted someone bigger, but it is what it is and we need to get behind the manager.
  6. I have concerns about his appointment, but I think stevy sums up exactly why he won’t get anywhere near as grace / respect from the fans as Ralph did. Much like Puel didn’t.
  7. Isn’t that kinda the whole idea? Hence why Semmems & co were left in charge? The trouble for him is, they don’t have The Gao excuse to hide behind anymore. what is Matt Crockers roll in all of this? Is he getting a say on our new manager?
  8. Potter was also a massive success in Sweden though. Came with a lot more pedigree. To be honest, my issue with Jones isn’t his history. Stoke aside, he’s a fantastic candidate on that front. My concern is his alleged style of play. It looks no different to Big Sam or Dyche, just without the experience. Let’s also be honest, he’s just a really uninspiring appointment, British appointments generally are. Let’s hope he proves us all wrong.
  9. I still find it incredible that Semmens was allowed to essentially hand pick the new owner. SR may have genuinely been the best option, but it is / was a huge conflict of interest.
  10. To be fair mate, you also think that the war in Ukraine is a load of lies made up by the western media. I’d be taking any of your opinions with a massive truck load of salt.
  11. Reports suggest this was a Rasmus decision…
  12. To be fair, we’ve not really got many of them.
  13. That’s rubbish. Lavia is arguably one of the best CM’s In the league and imo will go to the WC with Belgium. There is absolutely no reason why we couldn’t market ourselves as a stepping stone for managers, like we do players.
  14. I agree. This is a clear target of ours and one we’ve clearly been looking at / tracking for some time. If it’s right or not, time will tell, but Rasmus clearly see’s something.
  15. This is something that has been spouted a few times on here, but has no real substance to it. Jones was apparently targeted in the summer (according to a post on here at least 2 weeks ago. Way too random to name Jones if you didn’t know something), he’s clearly someone we have had an eye on for some time. I’d expect Jones to bring at least 1 of his own back room staff with him.
  16. Christ, sounds terrible. Why would we not go for someone proven like Big Sam or Dyce if we don’t Care for style of play?
  17. It makes the whole thing a little more insane, but I don’t think he’ll get pelters from Luton fans. They generally seem gutted but understanding
  18. It’s all relative, surely. If we finished 8th next season, it would be an incredible achievement. If City finished 8th it would be terrible. Luton finishing 8th over achieving, that isn’t debatable.
  19. Genuine question… is Jones any worse than the young bloke at Salzburg who was touted..? Comparable sized leagues, both successful in their said leagues. Difference being, Luton aren’t owned by Red Bull. The hipster Cult lives on. Had Jones achieved what he has done with Luton in Germany or Europe, people would be over the moon with his appointment.
  20. What a stupid comment.
  21. Underwhelmed, massively underwhelmed. However that being said; we were clearly heading for relegation under Ralph, so giving Jones a go is no bigger risk in that respect. And I was massively underwhelmed with Poch. Seems like the club have done the due diligence and Jones has been their man for a while, so I’m not concerned that we’re rushing into things. Seems to have done a great job at Luton, but cant say I know enough about him or them to judge. Hope for the best, expecting the worse. But have expected us to go down this season anyway, so no change there.
  22. Have wanted Ralph gone for some time, but these constant snidey leaks to the media are a disgrace. Stinks of a power struggle at the club between old and new.
  23. You’ll still have a few idiots claiming that he’s better than Rice, Bellingham or whoever starts CM in the WC. Extremely average and limited player. Very much our level. Should have sold in the summer whilst he had a degree of value.
  24. As a few of us have been saying for a long time. It’s why he (Ralph) should have left a year ago, and probably why he falls out with every striker he has.
  25. At least try to not make it obvious you’re a returning poster, MLG/TWar
