  1. Both were poor, I agree. However, both have hardly played any football and look rusty and if im honest, not suited to Martins style. Cornet is a good player, we've seen that at Lyon and Burnely and in spells before injury at West Ham. I'd like to see him given a run of games, he's no worse than fraser ffs. Big Les looks handy in a tackle, adds steel to our midfield, but is awful on the ball. From the limited I've seen.
  2. why is he still here? why are we giving him the next two 'six pointers' against a revitalised Everton and Wolves? why are we sleep walking into smashing the record low points total?
  3. Pretty sure I saw that at the time. Brentford fans were basically saying we think we've got the brains behind the organisation... we hadn't.
  4. Cheap, bog standard championship manager, massively uninspiring & not taking us to the next level (i.e completing to stay up)... yeah I wouldn't be surprised if the idiots running our clib went for him either.
  5. What an absolutely hideous signing that would be.
  6. Once bitten, twice shy. After the Jones experiment (who had a much better record on paper than Edwards - similar to Robins), I'd steer well clear of an appointment like this.
  7. I guess that depends on who they appoint. Another Nathan Jones type and it wont...
  8. Moyes or Potter would be silly to take our offer right now. Palace, West Ham, Wolves, maybe Leciester, Everton and dare I say it United (who knows what that'll spark - i.e Brenford possibly) will all likley be hunting for a new manager in the next month or so. We're 2-3 weeks too late and in 2-3 weeks we'll be picking up the scraps. That's not to say we shouldn't pull the trigger ASAP. There will still be plently out there who'd be keen to take a step into the PL, see us as a stepping stone (as ralph did). Under Lego were 100% going down - most likley at record levels. Rolling the dice might (unlikley) keep us up.
  9. I'm not sure what hill you're trying to die on here, but we're already achieving unprecedented levels of shitness and are on course to smash lowest points records out the park. If you want to try and believe that after 8 games, having 1 point from playing the 2 fellow promoted sides and another everyone tipped for relegation, at home, things couldn't possibly get worse, then you carrying on doing you fella.
  10. Put it this way, the lowest ever points record after 10 games is 2 points. With City then a 6 pointer vs Everton - we know how they usually go - we are on target to match if not worsen that... So yes, its about as low as it possibly could be.
  11. Turns out, unsurprisingly, I was absolutely bang on and offering him a new deal so early on has come back to bite us.... Shock horror. Is anyone ITK on this? did he have some form of clause that meant we had to extend should we gain promotion, or were our board really that fucking stupid? If the former, who signed this deal off? They should be out the club the club the same time as Martin is. This stupidity (Along side the deal to bring in Martins favs Wood & Fraser) has cost us a few million quid. Piss poor management from the club.

WHERE IS MANJI??? What happened to the greatest era of our life time 😂😂😂 @manji
  13. Of course other than 0, how can it get worse than 1 point in 10 games 😂 Whilst I agree, on this occasion, it cannot get worse - we will not beat a single side in this leauge under Martin. I'm almost certain the caretaker will be Lallana - I said when he was sigend he'll be in the dugout by Christmas.
  14. Pep Guardiola doesn't bring on Fraser and Smallbone at 2-0 up and throw the game away.. So I'm not sure I agree with you. A competent manager, who isn't wedded or loyal to a group of players who served us well last year buty aren't good enough this year, would get more out of this squad. Stephens, Smallbone, Manning (all be it hes done alright last 2 as a wing back), Fraser and arguably aribo should be nowhere near the matchday squad.
  15. Why is he still here? He's proven he's out of his depth and cannot win a game in the PL. At this point, we may as well had let Lallana have a go, wether its for a week or the season, it quite litterally cannot get any worse.

It would be great news, if true. He would be really, really wise to stick around - even if we go down imo. Look at Grealish (a similar player), 2 seasons in the championship made him who he is today.
  17. I'm not sure what your arguement is, if i'm honest. One one hand it sounds like you're agreeing he should be sacked and on the other you're saying (by suggesting we couldn't do better) we shouldn't? Keir Starmer, is that you?
  18. Again, id strongly dissagree. Keeper is miles better, like beyond belief how much of an upgrade ramsdale is to Bazunu. Defence is on par. Quality wise, clearly Salisu is better than anything we have now, but he didn't want to be here and was half arsed. As is Tino, but he was injured. Midfield was arguably a fair bit stronger with JWP, Romeu, Lavia, Stu etc. who'd all walk into our side now but our current midfield is no way 'less than 12 points' kinda bad. I think its pretty much universally agreed that Fernandes is an upgrade on Alcaraz, who was seen as one of (if not the) best players in that side. Che was obviously a focal point that we miss, but besides that, we had Sulemana and Tall Paul - both still here and lets be honest, Che wasn't up to standard anyway.
  19. hmmmm i'm not sure I agree with that arguement. We might, we might not - It could be an underwhelming name which turns out to be a brilliant appointment, it could be a big name who turns out to be a disaster. I do not agree that that there is not a single manager with a better pedigree looking to take a leap into the PL, than fucking Russel 'Mid-table' Martin. One thing I do know. We're on 1 point and on track to smash the record low number of points. we've hardly laid a glove on anyone this season and look way out of our depth, trying to play a way in which you need to be shit hot to succeed in. Burnely were a much better side than us and still went down with a wimper. Under Martin we have absolutely 0 chance of staying up. If we fail to win on saturday (likley) he has a worse record in the PL than Nathan Jones.... I mean let that sink in and then suggest again that we can't get someone better in.
  20. You could put 90 - 100% of current PL managers into that City hotseat and they'd likley finish there or thereabouts.
  21. Does this not highlight the problem and exact reason why he has to go sooner rather than later. For us to stay up, we need to be hard to beat, if we dont win, don't lose mentality. We are probably the easiest side to play against the leauge has ever seen. You're guarenteed at least 1 golden opportunity that we will gift you.
  22. He has no track record of being anything other than remotely average everywhere he's been. Promotion last season was an anomaly. He had the better of Farke last season so credit where its due for that but other than that, we beat everyone we should have beat.
  23. They all loved Adkins then Poch came in and they loved Poch even more. Will they love Martin when they're plastered in history as being a side who didn't get 12 points.
  24. Didn't this happen with Ralph / Jones? we tried to get him in the summer, he said no, came in 6 months later and was a disaster...
  25. Would a draw be the best result here? Not enough to keep RM in the job (hopefully), doesn't let leicester pull away and will give the new man city as a free hit before we come to play back to back must wins in Everton and Wolves.
