I thnk Downes makes sense anyway tbh. Good player especially at this level, knows the system, knows the manager. Will certainly improve us, but we have a big JWP sized gap (i.e box to box) in our midfield now and have little to noone who can fill that

Grimes is probably the most like for like with JWP. Downes is a different player all together and more aligned to playing the deeper holding role, which Smallbone is currently opperating in.

I've been baning the drum all along that we needed to shift these players a month ago, rather than haggling over a few million. Its going to come back to bite us on the arse. "players are willing to wait for us" until there is a better offer on the table. Aarons is a huge loss and going to leave a huge gap when KWP leaves.

So it turns out, like a smll minority have said along, despite all of the media nonsense patting ourselves on the back, we do indeed need to sell and we wont get the fee we demand. 'Players leave on our terms'.. we'd be better off just keeping our mouths shut to be honest.

We litterally look like coneeding every set play. Its fucking shambloic defending. Absoultely fucking ridiculous. I don't think we'll create anwhere near enough for them to flurish. A lot of the ball, but lack of real chances. I think we'll see a lot of tight games this season.

Always thought at our best (i.e under Koeman), we were really fast and direct. Not long ball, but always looking to break and go forward with pace - a bit like Cov... Personally that's my preferred way, I think we'll be way too predictable this season.

Feels pointless sending him out on loan then. I thought the whole point of agreeing to a loan was that hes still our player if we go back up. Can't see us agreeing t that, to be honest.

He was alright. Had the beating of his man, which isn't hard when he's about 15 years younger. Limited to no end product and very predictable - will be significantly less effective against a better side. Tella on the left, SAA on the right, for me 👍

Its no surprise. He's fucking fantastic. Superstar in the making. Imo has to be starting ahead of Edozie.

There are cameras and highligts - Merson is watching on Sky Sports News and its showing the chances and goals as they go in.. which makes it odd that somoene hasn't found a stream somewhere!

I'd rather have Tella on the left and Amo-Ameyaw on the right. i'm sticking Edozie in the squad player camp.. fairly average.

Yep - this has been my concern all along. We're going to have practically a whole new squad just as we hit a run of the hardest (on paper) fixturers we're gonna have all season. If JWP, KWP, Adams are going to go, i think we need them gone and replaced sooner rather than later. If it means we dip out on a few quid, so be it!
