Don't worry mate, we've got players and agents queuing up to get into the club. All will be fine.
-
Ohh Dickey boy - Is this the same user who was laughing at everyone of my posts that points out the incompetency of this club all but a week or 2 ago? How things change.
-
There is absolutely no reason why, even more so at that price, we couldn't have the 2 of them (if Che doesn't leave). Piroe going to Leeds not only takes a sensible, obvious replacement for adams away from us, it also strengthens a promotion rival. We needed another forward anyway aside from Che we have nothing up top. Che is also very obviously going. All wilcox has done this window is managed to shift Lavia for a few extra bob (because of liverpools desperation), yet hes lauded as a hero on here.
-
Surely at this point we need to say to him, if you're not gone by the end of this week, you're not leaving at all. We're shooting ourselfs in the foot here as its clearly going to drag on to the wire leaving us no time to replace. We either draw a line now or we twist and spend £20m on his replacement now (Piroe). Worse case, we rotate the 2 of them.. Not a bad thought..
-
It'll be just as bad a move for him though. Despite spending a few bob, Bournemouth look terrible from what I've seen of them. They'll stay up as there will be 3 teams worse than them, much like Everton. There's probably 5 teams fighting to not be that 3rd team to go down with Sheff Utd and Luton.
-
fulham have alredy signed his replacement - they've brought in Jimenez from Wolves . My money is still on him going to Bournemouth. I reckon Solanke will move to West Ham and they'll nip in for Adams late in the window.
-
Yes. Very easily replaceable for that sum - I've not been massively impressed with him to date, all be it other than 1 (2) tidy goals with his left foot. SAA will be starting on that wing come the end of the season anyway. Tella isn't a PL player and never will be imo, his value is at its highest now, feels like a sensible time to move on and replace based on the sums being branded about.
-
Whilst not yet official, hes clearly gone... Way too much smoke for no fire/
-
Terrible deal for us, terrible move for Che, not a great deal for them either. We as fans and Martin as someone who need to pick a competitive side to gain promotion are being let down by the club who clearly lack any ambition other than making money. Losing Che is 20 goals taken out of our side - thats the difference between promotion or not. He's not the best player, he's replaceable (especially if we do go up), but I do not trust the senior figures at our club to get it right.
-
Whilst I completely understand your point and agree we need a 'billy sharp type', the problem is, we had PL quality players in and around those you've listed above - I'm not sure we have any in our squad anymore. We'd effectively need a whole new 11 next season if we went up.
-
With no disrespect to Plymouth, who are a really hard working side, with a great manager doing really well on a tight budget - I wouldn't really use their opinion to gauge the the quality of potential PL players. As said already, he's this years Danny Fox and will be nowhere near good enough for the PL. Which is fine for us now, but he's very lucky he didn't go to Luton where it'd have been a nightmare season for him.
-
simple, effective and easy enough for the hand clapping seals to join in. Make it happen.
-
Charley, Stu and based on Saturday Adam Armstrong. Probably, actually comfortably, our position in the squad
-
He's lucky he did - he crap at defending in this league let alone the one above.
-
I don't understand this link tbh - we seem to be stacked in the 'attacking 8 / 10' role, I hope this doesn't mean that Alcaraz is off.
-
They're clearly not though. If they were we'd have kept JWP, Che, Tella and recouped some security money on selling the others we have. As @Pilchards has said a few times, they're not expecting promotion this season and if we get it, that's a bonus. For me, the evidence of outs vs ins backs that up.
-
It probably didn't even work out all that cheap in the end - Assuming someone would have had to pay to rent the stadium considering we couldn't play in the one owned by SR...
-
I think you're massively miss reading the room. Here's a list of the wealthiest owners in the championship, all be it from last season. I might be wrong, but isn't Dragan net worth c.1B - so we'd be in and around Preston North End in 8th place.... https://the72.co.uk/2023/03/06/ranked-every-championship-club-owners-net-worth/
-
It should be easily enough to guarantee promotion - we could spend less than half of it still recoup what we wasted in January and build a phenomenal championship side, whilst leaving a bit in the bank for next year. Its why I see no logical sense in selling Che for anything under stupid money £20-25m. He could easily get 25-30 goals this season which would effectively mean promotion - That's worth way more to us than anything we'll sell him for. Imo, we should be risking losing him for nothing next season.
-
Who are equally as shite as we are. Everything SR seem to touch falls apart. Rassums is a complete blagger and Dragan is the poor soul to fall for it.
-
I think they'll be the 2 biggest challenges this season, alongside Norwich. If we can get through all 3 of those unbeaten at home (I don't think we will fwiw), then We'll have had a very good start.
-
Based on the chap who came on TSP - Sounds like they played the first 2 in typical Ainsworth route 1, but they don't have the players for it and on Saturday went to a formation / style that suites their players slightly more. Sounds like it'll be a back 5. We should have enough, but I've been drilled into just expecting us to implode.
-
He's shite Dave.
-
yeah, Issac Hayden.. Yipeee
-
All Wilcox has managed to do is shift the players who PL clubs are interested in - I don't quite get the praise at the minute, if I'm honest.
