  1. He usually lets most shots go straight past him. If he finally finds himself in the way of one, guilty probably not. Shocked he’s got his body in the way, absolutely.
  2. So what you’re saying is that by Bazunu not being in goal, we were a better team? The same Bazunu who was in the side until he got an injury… therefore, it’s a good thing for us.. no?
  3. Who’s said that? 2 + 2 = 5. just long enough to stop him from being in contention for another game this season will do 👍
  4. It’s a month mate.. he’s hardly wishing him dead.
  5. It’s pretty obvious why he said it, not because he wishes ill on the lad, but him being out for the remaining 4 games is a benefit to us. Had he been fit, he’s first name on the team sheet, despite being one of, if not the worst, keepers in the league who shoulda been dropped months ago. FWIW McCarthy is also crap and will no doubt cause a goal by trying to play out. But net result of the injury, imo, makes us stronger.
  6. Even if it’s the only way to stop the manager from picking, the pretty obvious, weak link? Short term pain for long term gain.
  7. You’re right, but I trust McCarthy in 4 games a load more than I do Bazunu. Let’s face it, we’ve 3 shite keepers.
  8. That usually means 2 goals against with quaver wrists in the sticks.
  9. He’s shite. Costs us more than he earns us, which for a keeper is a big, big problem. Should have been dropped weeks ago.
  10. Not anywhere near as horrible as watching absolutely everything going past him. Playing McCarthy will (hopefully) make us a little more direct.
  11. The night gets better - Bazunu out for the rest of the season. Fantastic stuff
  12. A few more goals would have been nice but pretty much perfect in every sense. About half hours worth of effort, coasted the rest. Just what you want with a fixture pile up.
  13. I can’t help but think Preston getting re-arranged massively played out in our favour. They really are on the beach.
  14. First bit of fight this waste of space has shown in 18 months and even that was pathetic. Any chance we can ask the EFL to extend the ban?
  15. I don’t, let’s hope his injury is bad enough to keep him in the stands for 4 weeks.
  16. Downes, Aribo, Armstrong is comfortably our strongest midfield. Have to start the remaining games, no ifs or buts.
  17. It doesn’t really matter for Leeds anyway, win all our games, we finish above them.
  18. Yep. Let’s not forget that GD is against us. We won’t get a better chance to recoup a few of them.
  19. Cheers for covering part of the cost for my 'seat' next year, I owe you one.
  20. I'm done, he's fucking shit. Get a proper keeper in next season regardless of what leauge we find ourselves in. We might lose a bit from our build up, but we cannot go on having a keeper who saves nothing - costs us way more than he earns over the course of a season. Having a keeper who's a little less comfortable with the ball at his feet might actually help us be a bit more direct.
  21. So you've got 2 choices then.. Stand or dont go.
  22. yeah I don't see Martin being here this time next year, regardless of what happens this season. We'd get royally embarrsed in the PL with his style and our goal keeper and I think if we fail to go up, we'll lose too much of our core to mount a serious promotion challenge next season and will linger around midtable - play-off's. Promotion and then Brighton swooping in (unlikley on both fronts) would be a win win
  23. So we'd need to win all of our remaining games (1 vs Leicester 1v Leeds) and we'd need Lecister and ipswich to lose 2 games (well 1 additional to us for leicester) and Leeds to drop a point. Ipswich have arguably the hardest run in (Boro H, Hull A, Cov A, Huddersfield H) but I can't see either leeds or leciester failing to win in 2 games. I also can't see us beating either of them, so basically, 4th it is. HAd we not completely fluffed our lines over easter, then it would have been in our hands
  24. I think we'd be in the top 2 by now if we'd signed Moore. Brilliant championship player.
  25. Finishing 4th and failing to win promotion will be a failure, but not enough of a failure to warrent us sacking him. However, I would. His football will not be suitable in the PL if / when we get there. He's a good coach, but tactically far too naive imo. Best thing that could happen is Brighton come in a poach him, in my opinon.
