  1. I very much doubt the type of 'person' who has the apitite to do this, isn't interested in having a pint, let alone a decent one. I'd imagine they'll linger around searching for signal to upload thier noddy videos to instagram.
  2. what. the. fuck. is this 😂 What is the 1885?
  3. For those interested, CoT had their pre-season AGM last week. VERY interesting to put it mildly. Lots going on behind the scenes - make of that what you will. News on entry to the CoT group chat will come up sortly, I would imagine.
  4. Not at all confident about this one - we don't tend do well underpressure and it'll be a cadgy atmposhere in SMS, espcially if we don't get off to a good start. We're going to have to come out flying imo, a bit like WBA did, get the fans on side early doors. I hope and pray the club don't do all that lightshow bollox.. when was the last time we won a game after a lightshow? feels like never. I think it'll end up a cadgey 2-0, but I can't put my finger on to whom yet.
  5. SAA is a weird one - I thought he looked brilliant pre-season and was expecting him to play a much bigger part than he has this season. He made a couple (1 maybe 2) appearances off the bench at the start of the season and I thought he looked lively. Positive and tricky. He was finally given a start against QPR and tbh, it showed he's not ready to be a regular.. However, I dont think we've seen him again since. As you say, there have defo been opportunities across the season to get him and dibling more minutes. I suspect they will next season if / when we don't get promoted.
  6. He can't play with his back to goal, put in no effort to wn the ball back, struts around like he doesn't care & hardly scores. He's a luxury player, without the luxury bit. Waste of space, the sooner he fucks off the better. The longer the season has gone on, the more I can't believe we let Alacarz go - Would have much rather we had him up there than Mara.
  7. If you were in his shoes, would you not do the same though? An offer on the table which will in all liklihood set him up for life. He might not ever play for Chelsea, but neither did Tino (and many others) and its not proved too badly for him. Becuse he might not go on to play for Chelsea, that doesn't mean his progress will be stunted. At worst, he'll probably end up having a decent career in the EFL like loads of other chelsea academy lads do - just with a bank balance to make himself comfortable.

good god - even with 12 I still wouldn't fancy that against many in this division. That side looks absoultely dreadful.
  9. It took a late, last minute winner to beat a team who up until they appointed Rohl, looked the worst side in the division... I cannot put into words how much more important Downes is to us. I said at the time and I stand by it now, I rate Downes higher than I've ever rated JWP.
  10. almost everything you've ever said about SR has been complete bollocks. You need to drop the delousional fan boy act as its doing you no favours.

    Someone like Shea Charles...
  12. We'd have a greater chance of survival under Moyes than we would RM. For that reason alone, I'd take him in the short term.
  13. You clearly haven't, have you 😂
  14. I don't want Hull - they're the best side I've seen at SMS this season and I think they have our number.

Whilst I don't disagree that Ralph cared for the club, we absolutely were a stepping stone for him. He said as much in his inital interview - it just so happened that he never got in offer to move up the ladder.
  16. 3rd highest goal scorers this season. Absolutely there have been games where we should have put it to bed with another goal or 2, but the fact we cannot keep them out (similar trend for a Russell Martin team), is the reason why we're not in contention for automatic promotion. 11 clean sheets for a defence that contains KWP, THB and Bednerak is completely unacceptable.
  17. There would still be 2 (maybe 3?) blocks to fill where the away fans would usually sit - where are those fans coming from? Personally, I think its going to look a bit naff.
  18. get lost, you're not welcome round here
  19. Mods @Lighthouse - You know how we love a poll on here. I'd be really interested to see the split of support for and against RM. Mabe something like: At the end of the season would you 1. Keep regardless - Deserves 1 more season. 2. Keep only if we gain promotion, Sack if we dont - Failed to achieve targets. 3. Sack regardless - I see no future with him as manager in this leauge or the one above.

There's another thread discussing what a brilliant job Russell has done (spoiler, universially agreed that he's a busted flush), this one and posts in this one, are clearly directed at the subject of the thread - but you know that. Like you said, one day a thread might start without it ending up about RM.. Lets leave it there shall we.
  22. Without going all football hipers / football manager vibes, I'd play Brooks and AA in the 10's (similar to how Ralph set up our wide men) behind Che - Brooks best suited to that role imo - thought he was alright in the middle of the park Saturday.
  23. Pretty similar to all of our other wingers then - especially Edozie.
  24. That's not the point I was making, is it. Whatever happens this season, next is going to be really, really miserable under this current management.
  25. Leeds will still be in contention for promotion, but tomorrow? might determin how likley that is. Could be an absolute damp squib and toxic atmopshere for both sides. Would like Martin to try something different. McCarthy Stephens Bednerak, THB KWP Charles Downes Manning Brooks Che AA
