Play-off finals are usually really cagey and often won by the odd goal - given the way both teams play and defend, this one could easily be a 4-3 either way. I've fancied Leeds for promotion all season so If we manage to beat Leeds 3 times this season, we deserve promotion.

Leeds wont turn up, not play a striker and try and camp in their half and offer so much more in our final 3rd than WBA - very different approach needed Sunday. Martin has got it right twice this season, lets hope he has Farke's number once more.

This is not a post to brag, but not sure what the fuss was about - I managed to log on at 12:30 with a bit of a wait and grab 3 tickets on old support numbers that haven't been used for about 5 seasons. Eassily the most sensible bit of buisness that anyone in this leauge could have done this summer - from the very lmited I've seen, he's a fantastic shot stopper. We were never going to be interested though. He's a proper keeper, but not a footballer. he doesn't suit the way in which we want to play - which, you'd have to argue is fair enough - at least we have some form of strategy.

Well the U21 manager has just left the club. If Adam has the apetite to go into coaching, having spent a couple of years under a manager who plays in a similar way to us and been involved in the coaching set up there, it might be a good stepping stone for him. Wether to become our First team manager in a couple of years (would be a fairly smooth transition from Martin to him, you'd imagine from a playing style) or to a first team role elsewhere. However, this is Adam Lallana, I exepct his ego wouldn't let him learn his craft at u21 level.

For those interested, CoT had their pre-season AGM last week. VERY interesting to put it mildly. Lots going on behind the scenes - make of that what you will. News on entry to the CoT group chat will come up sortly, I would imagine.

Not at all confident about this one - we don't tend do well underpressure and it'll be a cadgy atmposhere in SMS, espcially if we don't get off to a good start. We're going to have to come out flying imo, a bit like WBA did, get the fans on side early doors. I hope and pray the club don't do all that lightshow bollox.. when was the last time we won a game after a lightshow? feels like never. I think it'll end up a cadgey 2-0, but I can't put my finger on to whom yet.

SAA is a weird one - I thought he looked brilliant pre-season and was expecting him to play a much bigger part than he has this season. He made a couple (1 maybe 2) appearances off the bench at the start of the season and I thought he looked lively. Positive and tricky. He was finally given a start against QPR and tbh, it showed he's not ready to be a regular.. However, I dont think we've seen him again since. As you say, there have defo been opportunities across the season to get him and dibling more minutes. I suspect they will next season if / when we don't get promoted.

He can't play with his back to goal, put in no effort to wn the ball back, struts around like he doesn't care & hardly scores. He's a luxury player, without the luxury bit. Waste of space, the sooner he fucks off the better. The longer the season has gone on, the more I can't believe we let Alacarz go - Would have much rather we had him up there than Mara.

If you were in his shoes, would you not do the same though? An offer on the table which will in all liklihood set him up for life. He might not ever play for Chelsea, but neither did Tino (and many others) and its not proved too badly for him. Becuse he might not go on to play for Chelsea, that doesn't mean his progress will be stunted. At worst, he'll probably end up having a decent career in the EFL like loads of other chelsea academy lads do - just with a bank balance to make himself comfortable.

It took a late, last minute winner to beat a team who up until they appointed Rohl, looked the worst side in the division... I cannot put into words how much more important Downes is to us. I said at the time and I stand by it now, I rate Downes higher than I've ever rated JWP.

Whilst I don't disagree that Ralph cared for the club, we absolutely were a stepping stone for him. He said as much in his inital interview - it just so happened that he never got in offer to move up the ladder.

3rd highest goal scorers this season. Absolutely there have been games where we should have put it to bed with another goal or 2, but the fact we cannot keep them out (similar trend for a Russell Martin team), is the reason why we're not in contention for automatic promotion. 11 clean sheets for a defence that contains KWP, THB and Bednerak is completely unacceptable.
