Welcome Back sir, I was starting to worry.
-
I think that’s because we’ve not got kick and run wingers / forwards in the 10. Armstrong and Moi are pretty good technical players and comfortable receiving the ball in a tight space.
-
More importantly, Has @suewhistle announced that she was down the pub and had x amount of pints yet? Given we see jt every match thread, I’m desperate to know.
-
Twar hacked your account?
-
Do you honestly think it was a ‘superb’ assist or just to back up your opinion of Tino who’s good, but not as good as KWP (yet). The cross wasn’t a great one imo, a little too high and floated. I’d be expecting my CB to read and win that. I’d say the leap and header from Long was superb if anything.
-
Tend to agree. Armstrong is a key player for us along with Romeu, in this system. However, Moy has given us something we’ve never had, and that’s a player similar to Armstrong (good on the ball can drop in the pocket) on the left side. Moi has really balanced the team.

Without trying to put a downer on things, which I’m not, honestly… how bad are Everton. A huge job for Frank and if they continue like today, could very easily get dragged in to the bottom 3. I think, the bottom 3 will stay as is, but If I was them, I’d be looking over my shoulder.

It’s rather strange, we seem to go on these ridiculous runs of form under Ralph where we’re either massively over achieving or massively under achieving. let’s hope the run continues, a bit like 2020 and we can sneak into Europe.
-
A bit like Eddie Howe since he come in. The list could go on both ways, so for the benefit of the thread, let’s enjoy the win 👍🏻
-
Shhh they might try and poach A. Armstrong from us with all that ceiling he’s got.
-
f**k me, you really do think you’re gods gift don’t you. dropping Armstrong for Tino was a ridiculous decision that would never have happened.

Perhaps it’s an advert for the targets we have in the summer….

I thought this, I bet the club are absolutely delighted that Sheldon keeps banging on about it. The trouble is, Sheldon is a bit of a dud and his content is pretty average, so a little scoop like this I’ve no doubt is his Crown Jewels. -
I’ve always been complimentary of the job Semmens and Crooker are doing. We’ve been a bit of a mess off the pitch (and on it at times) over the past 3/4 years, but as egg has said, a lot to be positive about moving forwards with this new mob,
-
It’s strange that this is even a discussion point. It’s been very, very clear since the day the new owners walked in (and even before that to be honest), our strategy would remain the same and we’d remain a ‘sustainable’ club that looks to buy, develop, sell. And rightly so. If what Semmens has said is news to you, you’ve been living under a rock. It’s actually refreshing to hear open and honest opinions from a football club for a change. Id much rather 2/3 years of a Tino, Broja, salisu than 5 years of Hoedt, Lemina, Carrillo. Offering a place to showcase your talent and kickstart your career sets us apart, otherwise we just be a Burnley. So long as the money is being reinvested, which I’ve no doubts it will, then this is absolutely the right strategy for us. If it’s good enough for Dortmund (next level of player up, granted), it’s certainly good enough for us.
-
Because they can. It’s obviously helped them, but I think Howe would have kept them up anyway, given how poor the league is. The only player to have really made a significant impact for them is tripper.
-
Potter joined Brighton 5 months after Ralph started here. It’s quite clearly not Potter. It’s all irrelevant theories though, no one will ever know.
-
As I’ve said before. The club spoke to Howe in the summer regarding taking over should Ralph had not turned things around.
-
With every passing week, the more this lad looks to be slipping away. I cant say I’m surprised. From the second he stepped onto the pitch, it was obvious this lad was going to be a super star. My only hope is that I can’t see Chelsea selling to a European rival and if they sell, will almost certainly want to include a buy back clause.
-
Or it is someone at another club who were tracking and in all likelihood will want to move on in a few years, like Ralph (perhaps explains his comments about retirement in a few years). That being said, I’d be surprised if we’re balls deep in 1 candidate, we’re no doubt tracking a number of people and will continue to do so. A Mountain will be made out of a mole hill on this one, imo.
-
So the answer to Turkish question is after 17 games and they do not in fact mean the same thing 👍🏻
-
No they don’t. We’re on game/match week 25 and Burnley have played 21 games.

I was speaking in general terms, rather than specific this season, using the greatest goal scorer of all time as an example of the same opportunity being better for 1 player than another. CR may be having a bad season (aren’t all at United), however, he clearly is one of the best finishers in the world and has been for about 10 years. I've never heard a football ‘expert’ say that.
